Pulling her light blue polo shirt over her head, and her khaki skirt over her hips, eighteen year old Collette Chambers could not help but smile. This morning, she would be returning to the school that she had called home for Kinder-garten to 8th grade. Words could not describe how truly excited she was.
"Smile " Mom cheered, as she took another picture of Kenzie, Hadley, and I in our gold graduation gowns. Doing as we were told, we smiled. After all, what wasn't there to smile about? Today was our high school graduation, after all. On a different note, it is also kind of a sad day. After all, I am saying goodbye to the school that I have called home all of my schooling years. I am also saying goodbye to the students, faculty, etc. With this said, it is a day full of fun, laughs, tears, and mixed emotions.

Since today was Christmas, it meant that the band and their families would come together at the Weir's mansion and celebrate Christmas. Second of all, tonight was also the Weir's annual Christmas party. This meant that the Weirs, the Kellingtons, and their friends and family would gather at the Weir's mansion once more to celebrate the birth of Jesus. In conclusion, the band and their families had alot to be excited about.
On my gymnastics team, each girl is assigned to a certain area. While Morgan is assigned to uneven bars, Clarissa is assigned to trampoline. While Stephanie is assigned to the vault, I am assigned to the floor. At our State meet today, each of us will be competing against other girls from other teams that are also assigned to our categories. Because I want to win first place in the floor division so badly, I am both nervous and excited about today's comptition.
"So, I have a question for you." Kimberly said. "How would you feel about trying out for my brothers and my band?""Me?" Westlyn asked, not sure if she had heard her best friend correctly." Yes, you "Kimberly smiled. "My brothers and I talked about it and think that you should try out. After all, you have an amazing voice.""I would be honored to " Westlyn smiled back. "When would I be trying out?""Today around 4:00." "Sounds good to me." Westlyn smiled, closing her locker door.
"Tor, your Aunt is really cool to let all of us spend a few days at her mansion for Christmas." I smiled at Tory." I could not agree more." Tory smiled back. "Getting to spend time with you guys, my Aunt, boyfriend, and good friends is truly the best Christmas present that I could ever ask for this year." As the plane touched down at Denver International Airport, we could not help but smile. The best Christmas ever was about to begin.
"Before I tell you about this amazing opportunity, I want to give you a little bit of a background." Smiling, Mrs. Kingwood continued, "I have a best friend who lives in Los Angeles, California by the name of Katrina Harper. She is a famous director, and has been assigned to direct an upcoming movie musical. It is going to be called "The Journey of Alicia Winter." It is going to be about a girl who rises above being bullied and, with the help of her family and best friend becomes one of the greatest singers of all time.""That sounds incredible, Mrs. Kingwood, but where do I tie into this?""I have been talking to Katrina about you, and about your acting, singing, and dancing skills, and she and I think that you should go to Los Angeles next week and try out for the part."
As I awoke from a good night's sleep, I looked around my bedroom. The posters that once hung on my bedroom walls were gone. The picture frames that used to sit on the shelves were packed away in boxes. Even my computer was packed away. As I looked around my room, I was once again reminded of what today was. Today, June 18th, 2018, is moving day.
