This book is an introductory guide to transurethral resection techniques for postgraduate medical students. Divided into fourteen sections the text begins with discussion on the history of uroendoscopy, and endoscopes and resection instruments. The following chapters cover endoscopic anatomy, anaesthesia and patient preparation, and different surgical techniques for transurethral resection. The book concludes with advice on post-operative care and potential complications and their management. The text is enhanced by clinical photographs, diagrams and tables.
