An important milestone in the history of mordern restorative dentistry has been the development of newer light-cured (packable bulk fill) composite resin for direct use in the oral cavity. The development of different composite resin has lead to remarkable improvements in terms of physical strength, wear resistance and esthetics. Improvements in composite resin mechanical properties that is its hardness and strength have made possible posterior tooth restorations with greater reliability.
