The book is devoted to the study of the geometrical and topological structure of gauge theories. It consists of the following three building blocks:- Geometry and topology of fibre bundles,- Clifford algebras, spin structures and Dirac operators,- Gauge theory. Written in the style of a mathematical textbook, it combines a comprehensive presentation of the mathematical foundations with a discussion of a variety of advanced topics in gauge theory. The first building block includes a number of specific topics, like invariant connections, universal connections, H-structures and the Postnikov approximation of classifying spaces. Given the great importance of Dirac operators in gauge theory, a complete proof of the Atiyah-Singer Index Theorem is presented. The gauge theory part contains the study of Yang-Mills equations (including the theory of instantons and the classical stability analysis), the discussion of variousmodels with matter fields (including magnetic monopoles, the Seiberg-Witten model and dimensional reduction) and the investigation of the structure of the gauge orbit space. The final chapter is devoted to elements of quantum gauge theory including the discussion of the Gribov problem, anomalies and the implementation of the non-generic gauge orbit strata in the framework of Hamiltonian lattice gauge theory. The book is addressed both to physicists and mathematicians. It is intended to be accessible to students starting from a graduate level.

Auslandische Automobilhersteller versorgen ihre Produktionsstatten in China uberwiegend per Seefracht. Die lange Vorlaufzeit dieses Versorgungsprinzips erschwert es, flexibel auf Marktanforderungen zu reagieren. In dieser Arbeit wird untersucht, inwieweit die Hersteller in der Lage sind, auf eine orderbezogene Fertigung umzustellen. Unter dem Aspekt der Mass Customization werden logistische und produktionswirtschaftliche Konsequenzen begrundet und analysiert. Aus den Erkenntnissen wird ein strategischer Handlungsrahmen fur auslandische Automobilbauer entwickelt. Neben der Betrachtung theoretischer Konzepte werden zur Bearbeitung der Problemstellung Ergebnisanalysen aus praxisnahen Fallstudien betrieben. Das Ergebnis ist, dass der wissenschaftlich belegte Effekt der Mass Customization durch eine marktspezifische Anpassung der Strategie realisiert werden kann.

Die Arbeit stellt die Voraussetzungen der Klagebefugnis bei Klagen gegen die Exekutive in den Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika dar. Nach einem historischen Überblick werden die einzelnen Voraussetzungen anhand konkreter Entscheidungen des U. S. Supreme Court untersucht. Die Entscheidungen stammen in erster Linie aus dem Umweltrecht, in dem die einzelnen Voraussetzungen der Klagebefugnis für die Zulässigkeit der Klage häufig eine besonders wichtige Rolle spielen. Nach der Darstellung und Untersuchung der Voraussetzungen in der US-amerikanischen Rechtsordnung werden die Anforderungen an die Klagebefugnis in Deutschland und Frankreich kurz dargestellt. Abschließend werden die Voraussetzungen der Klagebefugnis in den einzelnen Ländern rechtsvergleichend gegenübergestellt. Im Ergebnis wird aufgezeigt, daß das US-amerikanische System der Klagebefugnis eine praktikable Mittelstellung zwischen dem subjektiven Rechtsschutzsystem in Deutschland und dem objektiven Rechtsschutzsystem in Frankreich einnimmt.
