Sally ends up staying with their daughter undergoing cancer treatments in New York while John goes back home, only to be surprised by unexpected houseguests as well as having to deal with his cranky mother-in-law, spoiled adult son, and a few unsavory folks who have moved into the neighborhood. It's almost enough to make them want to go on another European vacation to get away from it all.
