In this compelling autobiography, Mozelle invites readers to embark on an extraordinary journey through her life, marked by unimaginable struggles and profound tragedies. Despite her 36-year career as an international handwriting expert, this book is about the personal struggles that have profoundly shaped her. From the outset, her narrative reflects incredible resilience. Adopted at birth by affluent alcoholics, Mozelle's childhood unfolded in a Victorian hotel fraught with pain and isolation. She endured bullying, abuse, and profound grief. Even in her darkest moments, Mozelle found solace in the symbolism of a protective octopus and a guiding raven, providing refuge from overwhelming trauma that threatened to consume her. However, even these guardians couldn't shield her from the depths of despair, as evidenced by her first suicide attempt at just nine years old. Thus began her journey of transcending the constraints of organized religion to forge a spiritual path of healing and purpose. Within these pages, you'll encounter over 250 captivating photos and graphics as Mozelle opens her heart with unwavering honesty. She fearlessly delves into her battles with Asperger's, anger, anxiety, self-sabotage, codependency, forgiveness, and multiple sclerosis. As a former mental health professional, Mozelle reflects on the moments that eluded her grasp, the opportunities she missed, and the relationships left fractured. Throughout, her spirit shines in the face of every obstacle - from surviving a relentless stalker to outsmarting a hired gun. This isn't a tale of blame or self-pity; it's a testament to Mozelle's unwavering courage and vulnerability. With each page, you'll be drawn deeper into her story. Beyond the suspense and intrigue, it serves as a beacon of strength - an inspiration for anyone navigating their own path toward authenticity and inner fortitude. In this expanded edition, several blog posts have been integrated into the book, further enriching Mozelle's remarkable testament to the power of resilience and the boundless possibilities residing within the human spirit.

Eurich explains how knowing who we are and how others see us can lead to feeling confident, happy, successful, and fulfilled. Although self-awareness is necessary for the renewal of oneself, Eurich described the results of her research, "Our data reveals that 95% of people believe they are self-aware, but the real number is 15%," she says. "That means, on a good day, about 80% of people are lying about themselves-to themselves." This 12th book of the series exists to help you increase your self-awareness that can lead to renewal.

Per Mental Health America (MHA), "working at something that is meaningful to you can bring you a sense of purpose that will anchor you. Meaningful activity expands your sense of self-worth by adding to your skills and helping you accomplish your personal goals and feel good about yourself. Meaningful activity, which includes school, volunteer work, part-time work, and full-time employment, also enables you to meet new people and make friends." Having a sense of purpose in life is associated with a lower risk of death, according to a study published on May 24, 2019, in JAMA Network Open. The conclusion was those who had a stronger purpose in life had a significantly decreased mortality rate and overall better quality of life. These built-in health benefits provided a reason to get up each day. Stanford's psychologist William Damon describes a sense of purpose as "a stable and generalized intention to accomplish something that is meaningful to you and that leads you into the community and outside of your personal space." Purpose involves achievement, progress, and completion. Purpose opens opportunities that can help us discover goals and ideals that are personally meaningful and reach beyond ourselves to progressively define our existence. Yet, purpose does not have specific definitions or boundaries. In summary, having a purpose - whether large or small impacts our physical and mental health and overall well-being and quality of life.

Per Mental Health America, humans are social beings who crave support, value, connection, acceptance, and love. Therapists often tout the human-animal bond. In fact, 98% of pet owners consider their pet a member of the family, 74% report improved mental health symptoms such as stress, fear, anxiety, depression, and loneliness due to a boost of feel-good serotonin and oxytocin levels in the brain. Dove Cosmetics conducted a study of 11,000 women across the globe who were forced to choose between walking through doors marked 'average' or 'beautiful'. 96% rated themselves as 'average' in appearance. This proves how low the international self-esteem, self-acceptance, and self-love rate is for females. Although the authors write about various forms of love, a Gallup poll found that 93% of people in the Philippines feel the most loved on a daily basis. Next is Rwanda with 92% and Puerto Rico at 90%. The United States ranked lower at 81%. Among the countries that felt the least amounts of love were Armenia, Mongolia, Morocco, and Moldova. Other love statistics include 60% of long-distance relationships will work out, 45% of online daters seek a boost in self-confidence, 63% of college students desire a traditional relationship, 40% of Millennials are not willing to settle for the wrong individual just to be in a relationship, 20% of men and 13% of women cheat, with cybersex and online flirting being the most common causes. Studies also found that those who do not practice self-love are most likely to become involved with narcissistic, abusive, codependent, or otherwise unhealthy relationships they soon regret. Avoid becoming a statistic. Learn to love yourself first - including your perceived flaws. In fact, this book exists to help you do just that.

Per Mental Health America, 1,872,000,000 (48%) of the world's population feels hopeless. Science proves HOPE lowers the risk of early death and gives people a sense of purpose. Feeling HOPE helps release regret, sadness, anger, and depression. HOPE is not easy to feel, yet feeling HOPE creates possibilities to believe good things will happen so that they really can. Hopelessness is a symptom of many behavioral and mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, bipolar, eating disorders, PTSD, substance abuse, and suicidal ideations. However, hopelessness does not have to co-occur with any particular condition. Not only do feelings of hopelessness compromise an individual's sense of well-being and stability, it typically robs them of the motivation required to reach out for help or to utilize available resources. In fact, many of the common statements said by those feeling hopeless include: my situation will never get better, I have no future, no one can help me, I feel like giving up, it's too late, I have no hope, my situation is helpless, I feel doom, and I will never be happy again.

Depression affects over 300M adults worldwide. Many people are too embarrassed to seek help, tell themselves they are over-reacting, or don't know that depression is considered a serious medical disorder of the brain. In fact, depression is also directly connected to bipolar disorder, postpartum depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Per the National Institute of Mental Health:* Because of depression, workers miss a combined total of 490 million work days per year which causes a combined annual economic loss for businesses of over $100 billion.* Bipolar Disorder affects 6.3 million people in the United States alone.* Depression is the leading cause of suicide - with one person dying by suicide every 13 minutes.* Postpartum Depression affects 15% of new mothers within a month of delivering their baby.* Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) affects 8 million adults each year.* Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death with an average of 3,600 people attempting each day.
Girl Behind the Fence: CoDependency
Over 40 million Americans, mostly women, struggle with codependency. In fact, 14.4 million of them were also diagnosed with depression. The lower their self-worth, the more they alienated themselves, the less self-awareness they had, and the more severe their depression was. As a natural continuance, the more severe their depression, the less independent they were, and therefore, the more codependent and debilitating their symptoms were. As you can see, it's truly a vicious circle. Codependent relationships can be between friends, romantic partners, or family members and often the relationship includes emotional, verbal, or physical abuse. Friends and family members of a codependent person do NOT want them to get well because... Take the SELF-INVENTORY inside and see if codependency is ruining your life. The bad news is that symptoms increase when ignored. The good news is that with proper support, you can regain control of your life and become your authentic and independent self.
