Classic Cars Adult Coloring Book #1: Early American Automobiles (1895-1919)
The dawn of the automobile age was an exciting time for America, and the classic cars built during those early years were technological marvels both practical and popular. "It is not outside the realm of possibility that in the century soon to dawn, the horseless carriage may be as familiar on the public highway as the bicycle is today," noted The San Francisco Call in February of 1896. Four years later, they had indeed become more familiar because the motor car trend grew fast. As The Topeka State Journal reported at the time, "Among the recent inventions designed for utility, pleasure or comfort, none has attracted so much attention as the automobile." Of course, all of that attention - not to mention how these new cars made the world so much more accessible - led to a productive multi-million dollar industry. As early as the year 1902, it was estimated that there were 300 different automobile manufacturers in the United States. On the pages within, we have dozens of classic car brands dating back to the late Victorian age, including Buick, Cadillac, Cartercar, Chalmers, Chandler, Cole, Davis, Ford, Franklin, Grant, Hudson, Kissel, Marmon, Mitchell, Oakland, Oldsmobile, Overland, Packard, Pierce Arrow, Rambler, Scripps-Booth, Stoddard-Dayton and Studebaker. (Note that these images are not modern interpretations of these cars, but authentic illustrations drawn about a century ago to advertise the automobiles or to accompany newspaper stories.) The drawings are arranged by year, and each of the images on the pages inside was chosen from thousands of illustrations published between 1895 and 1919. They're all printed on just one side of the paper, while page numbering and other image information appears on the reverse, ensuring the coloring side is distraction-free and would even be suitable for framing. Note: This is not a typical coloring book It features authentic vintage images that were drawn more than a century ago. Vintage Homes: Adult Coloring Book: Antique Victorian House Designs in Queen Anne & Other Classic Styles
This is not a typical coloring book It features authentic vintage images that were drawn a century ago. The most charming homes of the later Victorian era were a sight to behold, from their complex structures to their ornate crafted details. Inside this book, you can take a look back to the 1880s and 1890s, when many elaborately-decorated houses were built in America. The homes in this book are mainly in the Queen Anne, Stick and Eastlake styles, though some may be considered Folk Victorian, with their unique and beautiful "gingerbread house" detailing. Most of these houses were built from wood, with many different textures, patterns, carvings and other ornamentation incorporated into the design. These 44 authentic antique house designs have all been drawn in the architectural elevation view - as if seen straight-on from the front. Many of these houses include wonderful wide porches and balconies, cupolas, turrets and towers, steep roofs, paneled chimneys, shingles, spindles, and ornate moldings and trim. But what about the exterior colors, as seen on the Painted Ladies in San Francisco? In addition to the creative, crafty styles of architecture, advances in manufacturing made a rainbow of paint shades affordable, and the homes that remain from this time are often vividly colored. While fans of Victorian architecture will likely admire each stunning image, these elaborate illustrations will be of special interest to experienced colorists thanks to the beautifully-detailed originals. Now you can give these vintage homes the color and the verve they have been missing for more than a century Note: In keeping with the original designs, the pictures are often very intricate, and there are large areas of black on certain pages. We chose not to over-simplify the artwork because of the tremendous amount of detail (and personality) that would be lost in the process. Vintage Women: Adult Coloring Book #7: Vintage Fashion Layouts from the Early 1920s
The early 1920s was a time of flappers and freedom, ragtime and jazz, The Great Gatsby and the silver screen, along with stars like Mary Pickford and Norma Talmadge. "Flappers" were all about confidence, bucking tradition, and forging new paths. Naturally, the styles of the early '20s demonstrated how young women were rebelling against corsets and petticoats, instead adopting simpler, sassier clothes with straight lines that were flirty and emphasized the much-desired slender frames. Between these covers, you will find 43 coloring pages with more than 180 different examples of outfits popular during the twenties - dresses, suits, coats - and including hats, parasols, shawls and other on-trend attire. All are from newspaper fashion features, which showed the newest styles drawn into a trendy layout or location. As you will see, the stereotypical "flapper style" seen in modern media really represents just a fragment of what was considered to be in vogue at the time. While the silhouettes were usually sleek, the fabrics, ornamentation and accessories often made up for such simplicity. And now it's time to give these outfits from the Roaring Twenties the color and the verve they have been missing for the better part of a century
Vintage Patterns: Adult Coloring Book: 44 beautiful nature-inspired vintage patterns from the Victorian & Edwardian eras
A collection of antique embroidery patterns for sewing and needlework hobbyists Some of the most timeless and captivating artwork in the world is inspired by nature - and that's as true today as it was 150 years ago. The vintage patterns in this book, made over the course of more than sixty years, show how graceful line drawings of flowers and other natural wonders can be enhanced by lines, repetition and symmetry. Until just a few generations ago, everyday items and clothes were regularly decorated with fancy stitchery. For creative inspiration, they turned to the newspapers and magazines of the day. By combing through print archives from the 1850s through the 1910s, we found dozens of antique embroidery and sewing patterns in Victorian and Edwardian styles - featuring floral motifs, leaves and vines, flourishes and combinations thereof. Most of these vintage designs were intended to provide suggestions for embroidery or other needlework to adorn clothing and linens, or to for the kind of knicknacks people desired long ago. We wanted to restore these antique graphics and create from them coloring pages that would appeal to hobbyists and artists today. No matter their purpose in the past, these carefully-curated antique drawings deserve to be appreciated in the here and now... and with your help, they will

The twenties was a decade like no other. Between these covers, you will find 45 coloring pages with 60 different examples of clothes popular in the early 1920s. As you will soon see, the "flapper style" commonly portrayed in movies and on TV really represents just a fraction of what was considered to be in vogue at the time. "Flappers" were all about independence, confidence, bucking tradition, and forging new paths. Young women rebelled against their mothers' and grandmothers' corsets and petticoats, instead adopting sassy fashions featuring straight lines that emphasized slender frames. While the dress silhouettes were usually sleek, the fabrics and ornamentation used for the clothing often made up for such simplicity. Patterns - including stripes, stylized florals and other elaborate motifs - adornments like fringe, sequins and other exquisite details were prized. Popular accouterments included parasols, fans, wraps and scarves, feathered headbands and all manner of hats. It's time to give these outfits from the Roaring Twenties the color and the verve they have been missing for the better part of a century
Vintage Women: Adult Coloring Book #5: Victorian Fashion Plates from the Late 1800s
Being fashionable in the late Victorian era meant wearing things like dresses with puffed sleeves and high collars, and making sure to have a proper hat and an elegant pair of gloves. And how did women stay current on the latest styles? Most of the time, they found out about the latest "up-to-date" and "charming" clothing trends from the newspaper. Between the covers of this book, you will find 47 coloring pages showing full-length fashion plates of tea gowns and walking dresses, evening costumes and dainty frocks that were popular in the United States during the late Victorian era - specifically, 1895 to 1899. The definitive word on what to wear and how to wear it was delivered on the women's page of the Sunday paper, where every aspect of the attire - color, cut, fabric and trim - was thoroughly described and illustrated. Although the outfits within are all from a five-year span, the definition of "stylish" was constantly changing. Grand announcements about the current trends were regularly published in the papers under columns with titles like "Vanity's Whims," "Women and Their Ways" and "Fashion and Fancy." Now, take a look back to the Gilded Age, and give these clothes the color and verve they have been missing for more than a hundred years
