Because artificial sensors have assumed a major role in both domestic and industrial settings, the development of new technologies continues. Sensor Materials is the first publication that approaches the subject of sensors from a materials standpoint and provides a global overview of the field in a single, compact, and accessible volume. Introductory chapters present a solid introduction to the classification of sensors and the various properties of materials used in sensing.
