Everyone has a story. Some stories may not impact our lives to any great degree. Others might alter our direction in unimaginable ways. Our stories are not for comparison or competition but can be extremely impactful and relevant to us. Sharing these stories can bring others insight and revelation into their own lives. Helping us to feel a part of the bigger picture, more hopeful and purposeful on our daily walk. In truth, we are never alone; God, who is all powerful is always on the journey with us. While Satan uses fear and lies trying to convince us that we are alone and abandoned, God says differently: Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." Isaiah 41:10 "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. Ile will not leave you or forsake you." In faith, our fears, loneliness, and insecurities can be given to God. We do this with faith in Him alone. Only He can drive away the lies, attacks, and discouragements that come our way. This helps secure safety in our storms. This is a story of God's power, God's abundant love for us and how He fiercely, clings to us unconditionally. Blessings Always

I'm an artist first and a writer second. I'm also a quilter and a gifted creative individual. My gifts come directly from our generous God. None of my quilts or artwork will survive forever, so now I write. What I write, will last and live on forever. I don't write because I'm particularly good at it. I write because I'm someone who loves to stories. I greatly enjoy telling stories. God in His Wisdom has blessed me with hundreds of stories to tell. Stories that include great sorrow, sadness, depression, joy, faith, hope, and love. We can choose to be a victim our entire lives or learn to grow through a traumatic past. God is great for that purpose. My stories cannot possibly be made up. One must experience them for full appreciation. I pray you never have to experience the trauma lived through in my youth. I'm an undeserving sinner and beggar before Christ. Yet I'm loved despite my sinful nature. I'm free because my sin died upon the cross with the death of Christ. I am loved and called to return that love to others. Something I struggle mightily with. A cross I have to pick up daily and struggle to carry. Christ took from me the punishment that I deserve. While it doesn't free me from the earthly consequences of my sin. I'm free from the ultimate death and eternal separation from Christ because of my sin. I've lived a hard life and realized I'm not alone. Many people live seemingly impossible lives and survive them. Not completely unscathed though. A wound or many wounds and scars are left behind. I write as an emotional response and release to particular events or reactions to things that take place, good and bad in my life. God has a lesson for us in everything that happens in our lifetime. Learning to love through our circumstances is key. We gain closeness to God when we understand the message of the cross. The ultimate sacrificial love. Christ chose death on the cross for our sins, because of His great love for us. There is and will be no greater love. I love both cautiously and deeply. Love often surprises and frightens me. I am God's benefactor and of His love. One thing is clear. I'm loved by the greatest love there is. Psalm 34:8 Taste and see, that the Lord is good: blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him. 1 Corinthians 13:13 "So now faith Hope, and love abide, these three, but the greatest of these is love." 1 Corinthians 13:8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

Dante and Petrarch are two of the world's greatest love poets who convey the story of their emotional, intellectual, and religious life in part through a story of human love. The focus here is not so much on the myriad symbolic values and associations of Beatrice and Laura but rather both on the attitudes of these two poets to sexual desire in order to throw some light on the character of their human love and on the status and value they give to human love in the context of their Christian lives. For all the stark contrasts between them, Dante and Petrarch have been often compared, for they write in a common literary, classical, and Christian tradition. The comparison generally leads to the conclusion that Dante describes his human love experience as positive and constructive whilst Petrarch's experience of love is negative and destructive. My intention here is not to polarize their views in this way, but rather to identify the different yet positive and highly original value both poets attribute to human love. More than fifty years ago, Etienne Gilson claimed that Peter Abelard turned to loving God in the way that Heloise had loved him, with the disinterestedness which she claimed in loving him and which she accused him of never understanding in loving her. It is the general argument of this study that Dante and Petrarch, as well as leaving their original mark on the treatment of love in literature, have insights into religion, personal to them, which can be likewise characterized by examining their attitude to human love and the story of their personal loves. There are many more aspects to their Catholicism than are examined in these essays. The discussion here is of that part of their faith which grows out of, is coloured by, or at least can be explored, through their human loving.
