L'anno 3000 - Sogno un romanzo satirico fantapolitico del 1897 di Paolo Mantegazza. considerato uno dei precursori ottocenteschi della fantascienza italiana. Paolo e Maria, essendo gi uniti da cinque anni con "matrimonio d'amore" (senza prole), desiderano celebrare il loro "matrimonio fecondo". Pertanto secondo le leggi "essi devono presentarsi al Senato biologico di Andropoli, perch sia giudicato da quel supremo Consesso delle scienze, se abbiano o no il diritto di trasmettere la vita ad altri uomini". Partono cos da Roma, capitale degli Stati Uniti d'Europa, in un viaggio attraverso Europa e Asia per giungere ad Andropoli.

L'anno 3000 - Sogno un romanzo satirico fantapolitico del 1897 di Paolo Mantegazza. considerato uno dei precursori ottocenteschi della fantascienza italiana. Fu scritto come reazione al best seller statunitense del 1888 Guardando indietro, 2000-1887 di Edward Bellamy (che era stato tradotto in italiano dal 1890), e analogamente a tale romanzo un immaginario viaggio in cui descritta una societ ideale del remoto futuro, una utopia tecnologica in cui i maggiori problemi del mondo sono stati risolti dalla scienza e le vecchie ideologie superate. In opposizione all'utopia socialista di Bellamy, il Sogno di Mantegazza ha un carattere satirico e antisocialista. Espone idee in seguito stigmatizzate come pacifismo, internazionalismo, controllo demografico, libert sessuale per entrambi i sessi, sperimentazione farmacologica.
