Sofern sie nicht als Einzeldrucke publiziert wurden, erschienen sie zumeist erstmals in den verschiedenen Ausgaben des von Johann Cr ger herausgegebenen Gesangbuchs Praxis pietatis melica, Berlin bei Christoph Runge 1648, 1653, 1656 und 1661. Noch zu Gerhardts Lebzeiten erschien au erdem eine Gesamtausgabe seiner Gedichte in zehn Lieferungen zu je zw lf Gedichten, die von Johann Georg Ebeling herausgegeben wurde (Geistliche Andachten, Berlin 1666/67). Inwieweit Gerhardt an dieser Ausgabe mitgewirkt hat, ist nicht bekannt. - Die vorliegende Sammlung umfa t alle deutschen Gedichte Paul Gerhardts.
