Peter Levenda

Discover the book that inspired Tom DeLonge's new sci-fi epic Time Rider, Peter Levenda's Sinister Forces returns in a special Twentieth Anniversary Deluxe Edition, uniting all three chilling volumes in one collector's release, exclusively from To The Stars. In Sinister Forces, Levenda uncovers hidden threads of American history--from military experimentation to political assassination, occult ideology to psychological manipulation--and weaves them together to show how the United States has been shaped by dark, irrational, and often invisible, forces. His work, the result of over twenty years of research across more than forty countries, explores the relationship of intelligence agencies with mysticism and mind control (e.g., the CIA's MK-ULTRA program); dives into the dark networks behind political violence--from Nazi occultism to the ritualistic assassinations of transformational leaders (JFK, RFK, MLK, and Malcolm X); and reveals how cultural chaos, covert manipulation, and symbolic, ritualistic violence by the likes of the Manson family and the mysterious Nine, are used to reshape public consciousness. Levenda shows how themes of initiation, sacrifice, transformation, and concealment recur like ritual throughout American history. He goes beyond official narratives and common conspiracies to confront the possibility that beneath the surface of history there lies a kind of symbolic logic, where trauma is ritualized, power is mythologized, and repetition becomes a form of control. Sinister Forces challenges readers to become more conscious--to think critically, investigate deeply, and reclaim our understanding of history from the shadows.

With Gods, we asked the first question: Does our religion and our science give evidence that human civilization is a cargo cult, triggered by Contact sometime in prehistory? With Man, we asked the second question: If we apply what we know of science - of physics, biology, and anthropology - to the Phenomenon, how will that change our science as well as our understanding of the Alien? With War, we ask the final question: are the first two questions being addressed, or perhaps have already been answered, by our political, military, scientific, and intelligence leaders? The United States, Russia, China, and other countries around the world have experienced Contact with the Phenomenon, as we will discover in War. Americans demand that their leaders reveal what they know. They demand Disclosure. But what do our allies, and our enemies, know about the Phenomenon and why have they not already disclosed? Why is this an international issue, and not just an American one? And what does that tell us about the Phenomenon? We will discover how studies of the Phenomenon in other countries as well as in the US are plagued by events that have no rational explanation. We will see how what should be scientific bleeds over into what should be religion, and how the fusion of both stimulate studies in consciousness, and how this aspect of a field that should be mundane has led to madness and suicide in some of our most prominent researchers, and mysterious deaths in others. Will there be an alien invasion? Has it already happened? Are the governments of the world prepared for contact with "the government of the sky"? Are we ready for War?

The stunning continuation of an intensive study of UFO phenomena in which the hard science, technology, and the human mind are explored as they relate to our world and the encounters that people are still having today... In Sekret Machines: Gods, the cultural, historical, and religious aspects of mankind's encounters with UFO's was explained by Open Mind's 2017 UFO Researcher of the Year and To The Stars Academy of Arts and Science founder Tom DeLonge with renowned research author Peter Levenda. Here, they continue their revelatory work in a thoroughly-researched expose that seeks to solve the scientific mysteries of the the unidentified aerial phenomenon, the UFO experiencers whose lives were changed forever, and what it means for all mankind. To this end, they have divided their study into three fields of inquiry: Genetics and the ET Hypothesis: Was life on Earth actually initiated by alien life forms deliberately? Many cultures worldwide hold clues in their mythos that points to this. But for what ultimate purpose would this have? And what does that make humanity? Consciousness: If the building blocks of life were truly transplanted by a higher intelligence with intent, was our human concept of consciousness included in that DNA? And as we evolve, are we headed toward eventual immortality as sentient beings? Human-Machine Symbiosis: In this section, the concept of technological advancement is explored--focusing on our own astounding achievements in recent years in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and robotics--which leads to a much deeper question: If we have come so far so fast, what unfathomable level of technology must the phenomenon already possess? In Sekret Machines: Man, DeLonge and Levenda go beyond the lies fed to the public for decades--using unsealed confidential records, expert analysis, and eyewitness testimony from scientists, civilians, military personnel, researchers, and UFO experiencers to reveal the wide-ranging influence that UFO forces have had upon our past, continue to exert on our present, and may hold for our future.

An arcane ritual reveals a code hidden within Thelema's most holy book. Over a period of several years, the former head of Kenneth Grant's Typhonian Order in the United States, conducted a bizarre sexual ritual with elements of Thelema, Lovecraft, and the Egyptian mummification ceremony to unlock a mathematical code buried in plain sight in Aleister Crowley's Book of the Law. Jeffrey Evans, a follower of Aleister Crowley's Thelema since his teenage years, had an encounter on a bridge in Washington, DC, with a being he identified as his holy guardian angel. This being--Karla--provided him with the inspiration to begin a series of rituals incorporating Egyptian and Lovecraftian elements in an effort to traverse the Tunnels of Set: pathways on the "dark side" of the Qabalistic Tree of Life. The ritual, conducted with his wife, Ruth Keenan, employed cross-dressing and bondage as well as Cthulhian imagery and chanting, and resulted in a series of revelations concerning the mathematical code hidden within the verses of Crowley's Book of the Law: a circumstance that Crowley always suspected but was never able to prove, not even with the help of accomplished mathematicians. Evans tried in vain to demonstrate this code to other members of the Typhonian Order, to no avail, but a chance meeting online with Peter Levenda resulted in Levenda's taking a closer look at the data and what he discovered astounded him. He agreed to help bring this discovery to the attention of the general public. There has been very little new work published in the field of Thelema in the last 10 years or so, at least since the death of Kenneth Grant. Most publishing concerning Crowley has been biographical or reissues of Crowley's own material. This work is a departure from all of that. It is new material, completely unexpected within the Crowley/Thelema/OTO environment, for it offers a new approach to the mathematical nature of Thelema that so far has been based on Qabalah. This work brings attention to the existence of a sacred geometry within the verses of the Book of the Law: a completely unexpected discovery but nonetheless mathematically verifiable. It bridges the gap between Thelema, Freemasonry, and Templarism, as well as Gnosticism, demonstrating a continuum of esoteric thought spanning millennia.

Ratline is the documented history about the mechanisms by which thousands of other Nazi war criminals fled to the remotest parts of the globe--including quite possibly Adolf Hitler. It is a story involving Soviet spies, Nazi priests, and a network of Catholic monasteries and safe houses known as the rat line. The name of one priest in particular, Monsignor Draganovic, was discovered by the author in a diary found in Indonesia. Why would this name turn up in a document written in a spidery German hand in a remote island in Indonesia? As famed author Peter Levenda began his research, more information came to light: In December of 2009, it was revealed that the skull the Russians claimed was Hitler's--salvaged from the bunker in 1945--was not that of Hitler In 2010, files from the Office of Special Investigations of the Justice Department were declassified, revealing a history of American intelligence providing cover for Nazi war criminals. The mystery deepened, and the author returned to his own roots hunting Nazis in North America, South America and Europe. He revisited old contacts, made some new ones, and gradually the explosive story was revealed: there is no forensic evidence to prove that Adolf Hitler died in the bunker in April 1945

In June of 1979, Peter Levenda flew to Chile--then under martial law--to investigate claims that a mysterious colony and torture center in the Andes Mountains held a key to the relationship between Nazi ideology and its post-war survival on the one hand, and occult ideas and practices on the other. He was detained there briefly and released with a warning: "You are not welcome in this country." The people who warned him were not Chileans but Germans, not government officials but agents of the assassination network Operation Condor. They were also Nazis, providing a sanctuary for men like Josef Mengele, Hans-Ulrich Rudel, and Otto Skorzeny. In other words: ODESSA. Published in 1995, Unholy Alliance was the first book in English on the subject of Nazi occultism to be based on the captured Nazi archives themselves, as well as on the author's personal investigations and interviews, often conducted under dangerous conditions. The book attracted the attention of historians and journalists the world over and has been translated into six languages. A later edition boasts the famous foreword by Norman Mailer. How did occultism come to play such an important role in the development of Nazi political ideology? What influence did such German and Austrian occult leaders as Lanz von Liebenfels and Guido von List have over the fledgling Nazi party? What was the Thule Gesellschaft, and who was its creator, Baron von Sebottendorf? Did the Nazi high command really believe in occultism? In astrology? In magic and reincarnation? This is a new and expanded edition of the original text, with much additional information on the rise of extremist groups in Europe, Latin America, Asia, and the United States and the esoteric beliefs that are at their foundations. It is the first book in a trilogy that includes Ratline and The Hitler Legacy. This is where it all began.

More than thirty years after his first investigation of the Nazi underground Peter Levenda has returned again and again to his quest for the truth about the true character of the Nazi cult and the people and political movements it has influenced in the decades since the end of World War II. The wide sweep of this investigation moves from a Ku Klux Klan headquarters in Reading, Pennsylvania to the New York City office of the Palestine Liberation Organization; from the apartment of a notorious neo-Nazi leader to an Islamic boarding school--headquarters of the man who ordered the Bali Bombings. When Levenda uncovered the existence of a Nazi underworld in Asia, the nexus of religion, politics, terrorism and occult beliefs was revealed to be the real domain of the threat to global security. Meticulously researched--from both archival material and declassified intelligence agency files, to personal interviews and investigations undertaken in Asia, Europe and Latin America--The Hitler Legacy is the story of how the mistakes of the 20th century have come home to roost in the 21st. This book will challenge the conventional thinking about such subjects as the Muslim Brotherhood and Islamist terrorism and even about the alleged death of one of history's most infamous killers--Adolf Hitler.

One of the most famous - yet least understood - manifestations of Thelemic thought has been the works of Kenneth Grant, the British occultist and one-time intimate of Aleister Crowley, who discovered a hidden world within the primary source materials of Crowley's Aeon of Horus. Using complementary texts from such disparate authors as H. P. Lovecraft, Jack Parsons, Austin Osman Spare, and Charles Stansfeld Jones ("Frater Achad"), Grant formulated a system of magic that expanded upon that delineated in the rituals of the OTO: a system that included elements of Tantra, of Voudon, and in particular that of the Schlangekraft recension of the Necronomicon, all woven together in a dark tapestry of power and illumination. The Dark Lord follows the themes in the writings of Kenneth Grant, H. P. Lovecraft, and the Necronomicon, uncovering further meanings of the concepts of the famous writers of the Left Hand Path. It is for Thelemites, as well as lovers of the Lovecraft Mythos in all its forms, and for those who find the rituals of classical ceremonial magic inadequate for the New Aeon. Traveling through the worlds of religion, literature, and the occult, Peter Levenda takes his readers on a deeply fascinating exploration on magic, evil, and The Dark Lord as he investigates of one of the most neglected theses in the history of modern occultism: the nature of the Typhonian Current and its relationship to Aleister Crowley's Thelema and H. P. Lovecraft's Necronomicon.

Tantra is one of the most misunderstood of the esoteric disciplines. In order to get a clear idea as to the nature of Tantric ritual and belief it is necessary to go where Tantra is still practiced and from where important Tantric teachings originated a thousand years ago: the island of Java in present-day Indonesia. This book illustrates the history of Tantrism in Java with more than a hundred photographs of temples, statues and iconography dedicated to the system -- some rarely seen before, including the recently-excavated "white temple" of Yogyakarta -- and accounts of contemporary practices in the shrines, cemeteries and secret schools of Java It is this Tantra -- the Tantra of Java -- that has influenced secret societies, mystics, alchemists, Kabbalists and magicians for hundreds if not thousands of years. This book tells the story of how human sexuality became a metaphor and a template for both spiritual transformation and the manipulation of reality; of how various sexual acts and psycho-biological states became the basis for a comprehensive cosmology that incorporates every aspect of human experience. Sometimes the secrets are buried where you least expect to find them. Sometimes they are hidden in plain sight. Sometimes... they are both. In the largest Muslim country in the world we will discover a path of Tantra so unique, yet so vibrant and alive, that we will be astonished that no one had heard of it until now.

Stairway to Heaven is an incredibly broad ranging new study that stretches from ancient Egypt and Babylon to Jewish and Christian Kabbalists, Chinese Daoists, Hindu Tantra and Haitian Vodun and finally to 19th and 20th century European occult societies, uncovering a hitherto unrecognized common myth that has been employed the world over in roughly the same form since the earliest recorded texts. Beginning with the oldest form of Jewish mysticism and extending this search through the dead sea scrolls, Levenda reveals a consistent emphasis on the number seven and its association with heavenly themes, including those of a chariot, a Throne, a Temple and a divine Being. The author then examines the myths and rituals of egypt, sumer and Babylon to locate the origin of this myth and comes up with some surprising results in the ascent rituals of the middle east. Shifting to the far east, Levenda demonstrates how the mystical practices of China and India display important similarities to these rituals, most notably in the practices of the Chinese alchemists who used a map of seven stars as their ladder to heaven. Reinforced by visits to the Buddhist shrine of Borobudur in indonesia, Levenda concludes that there was a myth common to peoples across the ancient world that an ascent to the heavens was possible using a ladder of seven stars, a process running parallel to the alchemical idea of the perfection of metals and the perfectibility of the soul. This concept was enshrined in the rituals of the Western secret societies of the 19th and 20th centuries such as the golden dawn and the Hermetic Brotherhood of Luxor, and influenced the development of new age occultism. exhaustive in scope and revealing in its scholarship, Stairway to Heaven casts a fascinating new multidisciplinary perspective on the mystical practices of heavenly ascent.

In the past 20 years, there has been an avalanche of books and articles on doing business in Asia, using what are commonly referred to as "Asian values." Most of these books rely upon the works of the Chinese classics, such Sun Tzu's "The Art of War", or by classical Japanese authors such as Musashi's "Book of Five Rings". Peter Levenda, a seasoned trader with more than 20 years of experience dealing extensively (and successfully) with the Chinese market, contends that such books don't prepare anyone for the mundane practicalities of handling a Chinese business negotiation. They do a disservice by implying that a knowledge of Chinese classical literature will adequately prepare one for the intense experience of selling to or buying from the Chinese and they tend to ignore one essential fact about the central Chinese experience of the last 60 years: the Communist Revolution and the enigma of Chairman Mao Ze Dong. In "The Mao of Business", Levenda reveals the secrets of the day-to-day negotiations, project identification, financing, distribution, the ubiquitous sales agent, and the inescapable business banquet in China. Since 1984 Levenda has travelled continuously to China and has visited almost every province in the search for profitable business relationships. During that time he realized the extent to which the sayings of Chairman Mao exerted an influence over the minds and activities of his customers, and he was never without his own copy of the Little Red Book.
