Le comte Almaviva, tomb amoureux d'une jeune orpheline, Rosine, est pr t tout pour l'arracher Bartholo, son vieux tuteur, qui a depuis toujours pour projet de l' pouser. Tandis que, d guis , il tente de mener son projet bien, il tombe sur son ancien valet Figaro, persifleur mais entremetteur, qui l'aidera dans ses desseins.
