It incorporates various radiological tools from the 2D to 3D imaging, that significantly aids the forensic odontologists to master their skills in the forensic identification procedures. From personal identification, disaster victim management, age and gender determination, bite mark analysis, craniofacial reconstruction, virtual autopsy and 3D printing, using various radiological modalities, the reach of forensic radiology is wide in today's technical world. Radiological aids also play an important role in the medico-legal field and in the criminal justice system across the globe and require more exploration regarding this subject to enhance its establishment. The paradigm shift in the forensic world has been created by Maxillofacial Radiology, while also playing a key role to ensure law enforcement, hence, delivering justice to the security of the common man.
