Temporomandibular disorders conditions are among the most puzzling and intractable problems in clinical dentistry. The subject has become more complex because of incorrect early diagnosis and the diversity of views expressed by the various authors. Proper diagnosis, early preventive measures and prosthetic management should be done in order to avoid the disorder leading to a more complex one and thereby rendering the treatment difficult. Hence, the dentists must learn to correctly diagnose and properly treat the TMJ disorders with practical, cost effective and evidenced based approaches.
