This book provides an introduction to the main design principles, methods, procedures, and development trends in spacecraft power systems. It is divided into nine chapters, the first of which covers the classification and main components of primary power system design and power distribution system design. In turn, Chapters 2 to 4 focus on the spacecraft power system design experience and review the latest typical design cases concerning spacecraft power systems in China. More specifically, these chapters also introduce readers to the topological structure and key technologies used in spacecraft power systems. Chapters 5 to 7 address power system reliability and safety design, risk analysis and control, and in-orbit management in China’s spacecraft engineering projects. The book’s closing chapters provide essential information on new power systems and technologies, such as space nuclear power, micro- and nano-satellite power systems, and space energy interconnection systems. An outlook on future development trends rounds out the coverage.

Recently, more and more people have been saying that the strategic partnership between Russia and China has reached unprecedented heights. At the same time, however, politics and economics are most often mentioned. Nevertheless, the culture of strengthening trust between our countries has played one of the leading roles. This book outlines how community sentences and early release options are administered in China. Chen provides empirical insights into the emerging community sector of the Chinese penal system, and illustrates how Chinese criminal courts decide between imprisonment and community sentences. Drawing on interviews with government and non-governmental supervisors, this methodological and rigorous study offers an in-depth discussion of the enforcement of these community sanctions and measures (CSM). By using the CSM reform as an example, this book illustrates the adaptation of Chinese governance and social control. Ultimately, Chen argues that the current model of governance in China (disciplinary governance) cannot guarantee an effective state-agent relationship; it also denies local governments sufficient legitimacy to secure social stability. Finally, proposing that only the rule of law and an active judiciary can complement these two deficiencies, this book will be of great interest to scholars of criminology, law, and penology, as well as anyone who is interested in how China is held together in a socio-legal sense.

Die vorliegende Arbeit versteht sich als Versuch in der kontrastiven Textsortenanalyse linguistischen Fragestellungen in Anlehnung an sozialwissenschaftliche Theorien, Konzepte und Ansatze nachzugehen. Im Rahmen des kommunikativen Gattungskonzepts und der sozialen Systemtheorie betrachtet Chen die Todesanzeige als Spiegel der Todes-, Erinnerungs- und Ritualkultur und als strukturelle Kopplung zwischen sozialen Systemen. Aufgrund einer empirischen Untersuchung werden Kulturalitat, Sozialitat, Interaktivitat und Funktionalitat der deutschen und chinesischen Todesanzeigen diskutiert. Neben der Ermittlung der kulturspezifischen Vertextungsmuster auf der Wort-, Satz und Textebene untersucht der Autor die sozialen Funktionen der Todesanzeige in Deutschland und China und geht auf deren kulturellen Hintergrund ein.
