One is the paperwork obsessed local coroner and king of the grim reapers. 2 are opportunistic vampires. The reaper's son is the fate's assassin. Another is super zero, not hero at all but an accident waiting to happen.

This volume is mostly her short stories with the odd poem. the short stories are of a dark supernatural nature included is the Magicians stories and Vivienne and the reaper and some other related stories and poems including a few versions of a vampire hunt gone wrong and the stories that inspired them.
