Ramon Llulli (1232/1233-1315/1316) didaktilise romaani Imede raamat (Felix) raamjutustus Loomade raamat (Llibre de les besties) on tõsine, sõjalis-strateegiline mõtisklus poliitikast muinasjutu vormis - eesmärgiga hoiatada Prantsusmaa kuningas Philippe IV-t (tuntud kui Philippe Ilus) halbade inimeste eest ning õpetada, kuidas alamaid valitseda ja juhtida. Allegoorilises loos kujutavad loomad inimloomuse pahelisi külgi. Llull seab üles keeruka, nüansirohke süzhee, põhjalikult näidates võimuhierarhias kõrgemale ronija mahhinatsioone, eriti kulissidetaguseid teid oma soove teostada. Barcelonas osales ta ladinakeelsel konverentsil ja täienduskoolitusel "Colloquia Latina Barcinonensia", on Schola Latina Europaea et Universalis'e vilistlane.
