Renee Salt oli kymmenvuotias juutalaistyttö syyskuussa 1939, kun Saksa hyökkäsi hänen kotimaahansa Puolaan. Siitä alkoi hänen henkilökohtainen helvettinsä, joka kesti aina huhtikuuhun 1945 asti: häntä marssitettiin, nälkiinnytettiin ja pahoinpideltiin ghetoissa ja keskitysleireillä. Oli kuitenkin yksi asia, joka pysyi muuttumattomana - hänen äitinsä rakkaus. Se oli jotain väkevää ja kaunista, jotain joka toi toivoa rumassa ja turmeltuneessa maailmassa. Kaikki puolestasi on hänen ensimmäinen muistelmateoksensa. Kate Thompson (s. 1974) on englantilaiskirjailija, joka on ennen kirjailijanuraansa työskennellyt journalistina. Kaikki puolestasi on Thompsonin ensimmäinen suomennettu tietokirja.
