Robert E Howard

A collection of Robert E. Howard's stories that appeared in pulp magazines like the revered Weird Tales. Robert E. Howard is considered the Godfather of Sword and Sorcery, and the creator of the international icon, Conan the Cimmerian.

"Shadows in the Moonlight" is one of the original short stories starring the fictional sword and sorcery hero Conan the Cimmerian, written by American author Robert E. Howard and first published in Weird Tales magazine in April 1934. Howard originally named his story "Iron Shadows in the Moon". It is set in the pseudo-historical Hyborian Age and concerns Conan escaping to a remote island in the Vilayet Sea where he encounters the Red Brotherhood, a skulking creature, and mysterious iron statues.

In Queen of the Black Coast, Conan joins with Belit, the magnificent pirate queen, whose fathers were the kings of Askalon There is a frightening conflict with a monster winged ape before the sorrowful passing of the Queen of the Black Coast. She who belonged to the sea; to its everlasting mystery he returned her. Queen of the Black Coast also contains a second Conan story-The Vale of Lost Women, in which the Cimmerian rescues the girl Livia from her barbarous captors.

Punkt slut. Det är lite Saga Norén över henne. Hon går sin egen väg.” /Linda

"Once the sword was drawn there was no turning back; for blood called for blood, and vengeance followed swift on the heels of atrocity." Four classic Conan the Barbarian epics, with Robert E Howard's sword and sorcery legend battling beasts, demons, dragons and his own restless ambition as he fights his way through the savage kingdoms of the Hyborian Age. This collection contains: - Red Nails, Gods of the North, Beyond the Black River and Jewels of Gwahlur. A sword and sorcery classic from Wyldblood Press.

Two classic tales featuring Robert E Howard's legendary warrior hero: Conan, a savage hero in a fantasy world populated by sorcerers, warriors and monsters. He's a warrior from the Northern wastes of Cimmeria, fighting his way through soft-bellied Hyboria and on to the Throne. This is worldbuilding on an epic scale, and Conan is the compelling hero at the centre of a wild ride of intrigue and mayhem. The lands that Conan stalks through are savage in tooth and claw - his age is a time of chaos and destruction, of empires and wizards, of battles won and loves lost. Shadows in the Moonlight pits Conan against the mysterious Red Brotherhood on a remote island, with dark dreams of men turned to statues and giant beasts lurking in the jungle. The Hour of the Dragon, later republished as Conan the Conqueror, was Robert E. Howard's longest and last Conan story. Conan, who has fought his way to become King of Aquilonia, is betrayed and thrown into his own dungeons and must fight traitors, a long dead wizard resurrected by dark powers monsters and his own demons to escape and regain his throne. Will he succeed? In the savage land of Conan the Barbarian anything is possible. The only certainty is that success in the Hyborian age comes at a price - and that price is blood.
