Prosperity is a state of Consciousness, and anyone who has that Consciousness will demonstrate prosperity no matter where he is. It is not the job or business that makes a man prosperous but what he brings to it. The whole matter turns on Conscious ness; without the Consciousness of success and prosperity, the finest business produces very little. The Law of Giving and Receiving (which is the Law of Prosperity) is infallible. The way to prove it is for you to customize it for your own good. It is the author's intention to guide you through this process.

He writes, "We all talk to ourselves at times, and what we say to ourselves is of the utmost importance. What we say to ourselves is what the world says back to us. Of course, we are affected by what others say to us, but we are influenced much more by what we say to ourselves. Tell me the kind of conversation you habitually hold with yourself, and I will tell you the kind of health, circumstances, and income you have. Tell me how you talk to yourself, and I will tell you what you are now and what you are likely to become." Russell explains how to talk to yourself, in detail, regarding your life and objections and how, in this process, you might heal those aspects of your life that require healing.

William Strickland (1788–1854) was, in his day, among the most notable architects in the United States. An erstwhile student of Benjamin Henry Latrobe and a contemporary of Robert Mills, Strickland first entered the world of architecture at a young age in Philadelphia. But given that many of Strickland's buildings have not survived, and considering the sparse and dispersed collection of primary sources Strickland left upon his death, little contemporary scholarship has appeared concerning Strickland's significant contributions to the built environment of the early nineteenth century. Evgenii Zamiatin's seminal antiutopian satire "We" (written 1920-1) is one of the most celebrated works of twentieth century Russian literature. Set one thousand years in the future, it is a witty yet terrifying picture of a future society in which reason is all-conquering and mankind has been enslaved by a dictator called 'the benefactor'. This new study presents both a synthesis of existing criticism and a new reading of the novel. The first section deals with "We" in the context of the Russian Civil War, showing how Zamiatin's contemporaries interpreted it as a satire on life in Soviet Russia. The major trends in the diverse body of modern criticism are then surveyed. The longer second part of the study consists of a detailed reading of the novel based on close textual analysis of the forty 'entries' of its narrator's diary.
