La giardiasi una malattia parassitaria zoonotica causata dal protozoo flagellato Giardia. l'infezione parassitaria patogena pi comune nell'uomo in tutto il mondo. L'infezione colpisce molti animali e si ritiene che questi ultimi abbiano un ruolo nel mantenimento delle infezioni presenti in un ambiente. La giardiasi si trasmette per via fecale-orale con l'ingestione di cisti. Le vie primarie di trasmissione sono il contatto personale e l'acqua e il cibo contaminati. A causa delle sue implicazioni zoonotiche, il presente studio stato pianificato per studiare il modello epidemiologico della giardiasi nei vitelli bovini e nei cani affetti da diarrea e la prevalenza della giardiasi nell'uomo associata a cani e vitelli; stato inoltre effettuato un confronto tra il test ELISA coproantigenico e i test diagnostici convenzionali.

Aufgrund ihrer zoonotischen Bedeutung wurde die vorliegende Studie konzipiert, um das epidemiologische Muster der Giardiasis bei durchfallerkrankten Rinderk lbern und Hunden sowie die Pr valenz der Giardiasis beim Menschen im Zusammenhang mit Hunden und K lbern zu untersuchen. Au erdem wurde ein Vergleich zwischen dem Coproantigen-ELISA und herk mmlichen Diagnosetests durchgef hrt.

Trypanosomosis is one of the most prevalent haemoprotozoan disease of livestock widely distributed in tropical and subtropical countries including India during and immediately after rainy season, but it is also prevalent year around depending on agro-climatic conditions and immune status of animals. Several chemotherapeutic drugs have been tried against Trypanosomes but their use is limited because of toxicity, inability to bring about complete sterilization and cost factor. Keeping in view the current scenario two different trypanocidal drugs are comparatively evaluated.
