Brimming with character and characters, Red Chilli Pickle & Moonlit Terraces explores life's mysteries right from the first chapter; when in the temple of Shiva, an incomplete prayer sets the stage for a one-way ticket to Banaras. You experience the smells and the scenes that defy description and yet you can experience it in these pages. Indian Girl & Woman Hood arrives in all its diversity and distinctions in interlinked coming of age stories, where live Shagun Pingla Gauri, Rati, Kaali, Amrita, Gee, Rani, and Laali and so many more... It deconstructs all stereotypes by showing the realistic insides of a somber, early Independence India to the liberalizing India, all through a woman's lens and desi storytelling techniques - rich in context and light on the soul...its the conversation you would hear on a charpoy or a chauraha or while chit-chatting over a cup of chai or over paan shop at the roadside in villages and small towns of India.

The characters of thirty something Munni, forty something Mangala and Fifty something Maggie undertake a tussle of love, hope and disappointment in their relationship with the same man in this farce. Women explore their funny take on life, and their circumstances, and in doing so frankly exposing their biases towards each other's choices. This cocktail of Desi identity merges rural-urban-cosmopolitan ethos of South Asian women's resilience and survival and still keeping their cheer. This play is the first in a series on satires on relationships with Women characters from the Indian Sub-Continent.
