Centuries ago, a female samurai died in battle defending the honor of her master, only to resurrect as something stronger, faster and far more lethal than she'd been in life. Learning to blend with humanity over time, she recruited and trained her sisters. They lived in shadows, hunting the supernatural predators that threaten the human domain. Surviving the centuries, the sisters are determined to keep the world from knowing about what lurks in the shadows, however, the shadows aren't content to remain in the dark. Now, Zenshi Jin Ronin (Shia) and her skeptic partner, homicide detective Ryan Calder, are learning to face demons together. A distraught spirit has unleashed a new type of hell on the unsuspecting population of the Nation's Capital. As her sisters start returning to her home, Shia has to adapt to an expanded family and even more people becoming aware of the things that go bump in the night. This demon challenge will be like nothing she has ever seen before...
