It all started back in October 2018 when I made, what I thought was going to be the finishing one, my last trip to Israel. Since my inceptive journey in 1987 with the first ministry I served with, Mahesh Chavda Ministries (living at the time in Fort Lauderdale, Florida), I had since that time made 19 trips to the Holy Land, the Promised Land of the Jews. This October 2018 trip was my 20th, and just prior to going I had decided it would be my last. A few months ahead of this trip, discouragement had come upon me, and I felt I could no longer continue the work of the ministry, Love For His People, which my good wife Laurie and I had founded in April 2010. That had been, quite literally, following the inspiration of the Lord Jesus, after I had continually cried out to Him for many years, wanting "my own vineyard." It was a dream of myself, like others, to be "fulltime" in ministry, but after the longevity serving under the leadership of others, I longed for my own. That can happen to one after serving long and hard for and with three other well-known men (and their wives) in their ministries. Oh, how the Lord loves us. Oh, how He leads us in His paths of righteousness for His Name's sake. Oh, how He directs our steps and leads us in the way we are to go. He is Faithful, and He who called us is ever True. He does not ever give up on us. He made sure I understood what He had just said, with a firm, "make sure you get this" response, but with plenty of hope, faith, and love covering His words. That was then. And today, as I write these first words of my next prophesied book (#25 ) on September 11, 2019, Wednesday early morning at my home near south Charlotte, North Carolina (the day when Americans remember the attack of 9-11, 18 years later), the plans have been tediously put together for my 22nd trip back to Israel, and our Lord's beloved city of Jerusalem, it's capital, and His chosen people dwelling there. And coming along with me this time are three other men. I will tell you that story as time goes by, as you read of the "rest of the story" - as Paul Harvey, the Chicago area radio and TV man, liked to say decades ago. But what follows is just an inkling of what is yet to come.

A few months ago I sensed the Lord wanted me to write a book on being committed, day in and day out. Not just about some fad that comes and goes, as they do each decade, or even monthly, but of the eternal perspective He has, and gives to us. People need something to stand on, that doesn't shift with every wind and movement that comes along. They need solid ground, especially when their world begins to shake. There is no other on which to stand, on which to build one's life, than on the Word of God, the Torah, the Bible. The very one Who has created everything certainly knows what is needed for each of us to achieve fulfillment, purpose, and the destiny He has given in His ultimate realm of salvation, redemption, and life with Him, for us and the nations. When the Holy Spirit gave me the thought to search for all the messages I had thus far written, now going beyond 470 in these last 9 years, that had the word "commit" or "commitment" in them, I was amazed when over 70 appeared on the list. Being an accountant by trade, that is 15%. Not an insignificant number. Thus those compiled messages in this book will reveal at least one thing - that our Lord is faithful and committed, and as we choose to follow Him, we too will be as He is. Choose this day to seek Him, know Him, and be committed above all to Him. Then you too will discover that His Word is the final word.

I am a man who likes to see people connected. If I meet one person here, who can help another person over there, I enjoy putting them in contact with each other. If they are in Jerusalem, and I know someone in Iowa that can meet a need they clearly have, I will "reach out" (overworked words I know, but you understand it) for the benefit of both. Makes common sense to me. The Lord's heart is certainly for that too. He is all about connecting, to having those He has created to get together and fulfill His purposes and plans for each. For that matter, He has intended it to be this way for us to use what each has been given, to "bring it to the table," and fulfill the big picture that He has, not us. It is not about me doing my thing and you doing yours. Separately. It is about coming together and building together. When that happens, then the world will see the Lord's body of believers as we were meant to be seen. Until now, the world thinks very little of Christians and Jews. In many cases, we are both despised people. And no wonder. Most often all they see is fighting, arguments, name calling, and rejection of what the other "church" or "synagogue congregation" is doing. I don't blame them. If I was in the "unbeliever's camp," so would I. Guess what? Our God, the same One Who is bringing back the Jews to their promised Land of Israel, right now, even more so than what He has been in the last 70 years, is also speaking clearly to the other group, "the grafted in ones," Christians, to come back to His plan, and start working together, in unity, as one.

It is not quite that simple to get, but hope is certainly possible to obtain, and keep. The way I have found hope is by believing the promises of the Lord Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach, as put forth truthfully in the Bible. Through the centuries, the words written in the Word have proven accurate and life-changing in the very ones who have chosen to believe. I include myself among them. The daily news will get you discouraged. The bank statement and monthly bills which come by mail or smart phone will drain you of your pursuit of happiness. One minute you are "up". The next minute you hit a wall. What is it that keeps us pressing on to accomplish the good in life? Family and friends can be a good source to rely on, but even then those relationships can falter. We need more. We need hope in our lives. My desire and prayer is that as you read these messages you will obtain hope. Not a hope that will get you just through this day, but an eternal hope where you can stand strong, press on, and know deep in your heart that when it is all said and done, what He, Jesus, has said and done will be the very truth that keeps you until the end. Find hope. Keep it within, and know that the faith, hope and love of the Almighty God will always be there for you. He is our only hope.
