This is the first book to examine the impact of blockchain technology on the business of sport. It introduces the fundamentals of blockchain and explores its current and prospective applications in sport, as well as the implications – both positive and negative – of blockchain for the future of the global sport industry. The book opens by explaining how blockchain works, assuming no prior knowledge on the part of the reader, and introduces the most important aspects of blockchain in practice, such as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and decentralised autonomous organisations (DAOs), as well as new ways of gathering data, such as the Internet of Things, that interact with blockchain infrastructure. The book then examines blockchain in relation to functional areas of sport business, including marketing and fan engagement, athlete contracting and doping records, sport betting markets, fantasy leagues, and esports. This is essential reading for anybody with an interest in sport business and management, e-commerce, or the impact of new technologies on the economy and wider society.

A series of short stories profiling ten individuals, with the why, how, and when they came to love football and what it means to them personally. The stories demonstrate that 'the Beautiful Game' is home to the world's biggest community, and within that community are thousands of stories from people from all walks of life. Different races, ethnicities, religions, genders, sexualities, and more. All come together around the call of football. When Mum and Dad See Me Kick covers stories from vastly different members of that community and shows how football changed their lives forever. From a young woman who was once on the boy's team, to a displaced Palestinian immigrant who finds hope in the game and more, these stories make a chorus to the world's most beautiful song.

The Camberwell Assessment of Need Forensic Version (CANFOR) is a tool for assessing the needs of people with mental health problems who are in contact with forensic services. It is based on the CAN, a widely used needs assessment for people with severe mental health problems. Individual needs are assessed in 25 areas of life, spanning health, social, clinical and functional domains. Comprehensive versions are available for research (CANFOR-R) and clinical use (CANFOR-C), as well as a short summary version (CANFOR-S) suitable for both research and clinical use. CANFOR was rigorously developed by a multidisciplinary team at the Institute of Psychiatry, London, and is suitable for use in all forensic mental health and prison settings. This second edition provides an update of the CANFOR tools and their application in clinical and research settings. The assessment forms are freely available to download from the CAN website (researchintorecovery.com/can) and cambridge.org.
