The Home Letters of T. E. Lawrence and His Brothers is a collection of personal letters written by T. E. Lawrence, also known as Lawrence of Arabia, and his siblings. The letters cover a period of over 20 years, from 1902 to 1922, and provide a unique insight into the lives of the Lawrence family during this time. The letters are primarily focused on the daily life of the family, including their education, hobbies, and relationships. However, they also touch on more significant events, such as the outbreak of World War I and Lawrence's involvement in the Arab Revolt. The book offers a fascinating glimpse into the mind of one of the most enigmatic figures of the 20th century, as well as providing a valuable historical record of the early 20th century. Overall, The Home Letters of T. E. Lawrence and His Brothers is a compelling and insightful read for anyone interested in the life and times of T. E. Lawrence and his family. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.

Lawrence's own account of his experience after the Arab Revolt - when he joined the RAF under a new name. In 1922, his dreams of an independent Arabia shattered, T. E. Lawrence enlisted in the RAF under the assumed name John Hume Ross. Though methodical and restrictive, life there seemed to suit Lawrence: 'The Air Force is not a man-crushing humiliating slavery, all its days. There is sun and decent treatment, and a very real measure of happiness, to those who do not look forward or back.'With poetic clarity, Lawrence brings to life the harsh realities of barracks life and illuminates the strange twilight world he had slipped into after his war experiences. For anyone interested in the life of one of the 20th century's most enduring heroes and his life beyond the well-documented Arab revolt, The Mint is essential and compelling reading.

Travels in Arabia Deserta, originally published in 1888, is a two-volume set which describes English poet Charles Doughty's extensive travels through the Arabian deserts and the discoveries he made there. The work became well-regarded for its beautiful prose as well as its extensiveness, which made it a benchmark of ambitious travel writing in the early 20th century. Written in the style of the King James Bible, the text is extravagant and creative. In the 1920's, it was discovered by British Army Officer T. E. Lawrence, who spurred the book'ss republication, this time with an introduction from Lawrence. The book has been in and out of print since then, but the Cosimo edition is a rare 1921 reprint, and includes the Lawrence introduction. Volume I includes T. E. Lawrence's Introduction, as well as accounts of Doughty's treks to Mecca, Ammon and Moab, the Mountain of Edom, Arabia, the Passage of the Harra, Teyma, and more. He also describes nomad life in the desert and ancient stories, peoples, and myths connected with his travels.
