Classification plays crucial role in the etiology, diagnosis and treatment plan. Classification of Periodontal Diseases have evolved with time due to recent research and changes in the concept. Classification of Periodontal Diseases and peri- implantitis 2017 is the recent Classification proposed to overcome the drawbacks of 1999 Classification. This book discusses the classification which aims to bring a transparent understanding of periodontal disease to the patient, general dentist, periodontist, and to facilitate the treatment required. The proposed classification system helps to make a clinical diagnosis for a periodontal condition.
