BLACK LIVES DON'T MATTER IN AMERICA'S CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM is a critical look at America's Criminal Justice System from a Black man that was a victim of the system. It is a realistic account of my interactions and observances within the criminal justice system. My main objective is to show just how unfair the current criminal justice system is to black and brown individuals. Based on my observances and experiences America's criminal justice system has never been totally fair to black and brown people. Accordingly, I have come to the conclusion that the current system needs to be overhauled to correctly insure that black and brown people get the equal justice that they are entitled to. The current criminal justice system is based on lies and untruths. Blind Justice is a joke and America has never been the home of the free. Moreover, there has never been liberty and justice for all - as is shown in the book narrative. Not only is reform needed but is long overdue.

In September 1927, the scion of a great Detroit automotive manufacturing family met with Pres. Calvin Coolidge on the White House lawn to be presented with a major motorsports trophy. This person was not a Ford or an Olds and also had not been behind the wheel of a race car. Retired educators Terry and Barbara Nelson, whose two sons are Grosse Pointe South High School graduates, have scoured local school, church, and town archives--as well as private sources in locations ranging from the West Cost to Italy--to secure unique images of life in Grosse Pointe Farms over the decades.

The purpose of this book is to bring focus on America's current justice system. It is all too common that Americans cry out for justice. However, many don't understand how Black and Brown people are underserved by this system. Through life experiences-living, observing, and working within the system-I have determined that the current criminal justice system is flawed in providing equal justice to Black and Brown people. I hope that after Americans read this book, they will begin to see America for what it really is. The American way is not based on liberty and justice for all. The harsh reality is that it is based on liberty and justice for a few. America has got to come to terms with itself. America has to admit that racism is a reality and is built in every web of our society. How can so many White Americans insist that there is not institutional racism but recognize that White privilege exists? America has got to wake up and stop lying to itself. We are going to have to be inclusive to continue down a path of greatness. Please don't let racism destroy the great nation that America has become. We have an opportunity today to defy history. All great nations of the past, at some point, had come to an end. The primary reason is an unwillingness to change. Going forward, we are going to have to start looking at America as one. We have to turn these words into reality: "one nation under God indivisible." The key to our success and survival going forward will only be achieved as one. The time is now We must change our mindset If not, racism will be our demise

On April 25, 1898, the United States declared war on Spain, heralding the beginning of the Spanish-American War. Fort De Soto, on Mullet Key, was commissioned to help defend the sea approach to Tampa Bay, Florida.
