Med denne utgivelsen foreligger bok 6–10 av Titus Livius’ store verk om romersk historie for første gang på norsk, oversatt og med noter av Gunn Haaland. Utgivelsen følger hennes tidligere oversettelse av de fem første bøkene, Romas eldste historie (2012), som også var den første til norsk. Med dette foreligger nå hele den første delen av Livius’ bevarte historieverk på norsk.
