In the first edition of The Big Book Of Armenian Songs, you'll find over 200 songs written by Armenian composers between the 18th and 20th centuries, as well as folk songs transcribed by Komitas and his students. For each song, there are sheet music and song lyrics available, both in Armenian and transliterated into English, so that non-Armenian speakers can also perform the songs. A music lover will certainly find a lot of familiar melodies and tunes, as well as enjoy discovering some hidden musical gems that they might not have known existed. There are more than 350 pages in this volume filled with favorite melodies every Armenian knows, such as Noubar - Noubar, Garun e Galis, Dle Yaman, Tsaghkats Baleni, Karine, Kilikia, Zartir Lao, Yeraz, Erebouni-Yerevan, Im Yerevan, Gyumri-Leninakan, Ari Im Sokhak, and others. In this book, we find a wide range of composers - from Paghtasar Dpir (18th century) to some of the best composers and lyricists of Soviet Armenia (Khachatur Avetisyan, Aleksey Hekimyan, Alexander Dolukhanyan to name a few).
Mental Health issues have long been stigmatized, with those facing them pushed into the shadows, often unable to deal with the darkness they find themselves trapped in. In this collection, stories explore many types of darkness - Suicidal Ideation, Death from Suicide, Survivor's Guilt, PTSD, Chronic Pain, Chronic Illness, Depression, Death of a Loved One, Secrets, Bullying, and other forms of darkness are explored. Some related to mental health issues and some not, but all of them offer very human perspectives. As in real life, some stories have happy endings and sadly others don't. We offer these stories of darkness without judgement, but with hope and compassion. Some roads should never have to be traveled - but we understand that for many they are being traveled alone. Proceeds from sales of Out of the Darkness will be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention - for more information on AFSP please visit their website at: afsp.org For those who may be in crisis - PLEASE call or text 988 to connect directly to the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. When it comes to the road to recovery, antiquated notions abound. This book was created to highlight how, in the world today, there are actually many ways to get to and stay on the recovery path. In this book you'll read 11 stories of return. Return to living. Return from the darkness of dependency and addiction as told by the people who walked the road. The 11 contributors in this book talk about the circumstances that led up to their point of choosing recovery and why it was so important for them to remain in recovery today. In this book, common themes from people in the midst of struggle range from feelings of never being enough, perfectionism, constructing a fa ade that projects "everything is ok," lack of trust in one's self, feeling that the next geographical location will fix everything, the legacy of family addiction, self-isolation, living a life of secrecy, living in abusive relationships, denial, shame, unworthiness - and the list goes on. In this book you will read about the variety of ways that contributors found their way back to themselves. For the many, many people who keep waking up to what seem like endless Day 1s but who also know they want a change and so they keep trying - this book is for you. This book is for the sober-curious. It's for those who are receiving external or intuitive messages that tell them it's time for a shift but don't know where to begin. This book is for anyone who loves someone who is struggling or has struggled with dependency or addiction. Perhaps this book can offer new perspectives and open the doors to empathy and compassion and a better understanding of addiction and alcohol use disorder.

“Sustainable design integrates consideration of resource and energy efficiency, healthy buildings and materials, ecologically and socially sensitive land-use, and an aesthetic sensitivity that inspires, affirms, and ennobles...” The construction process affects the environment and surrounding ecosystem. Once buildings are constructed, the occupants and administrators face a series of challenges in their attempt to maintain a healthy, efficient, and productive environment. In order to face these challenges, innovative and varied building strategies have been developed to contribute to the achievement of environmentally friendly homes that are alive and “breathe.”
