This book has been written for fulfilling the needs of the students for competitive exams, research scholars, teachers, planners, administrators, extension workers etc. who are engaged in teaching and doing research on agricultural extension. Recently the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has revised the syllabus for the UG/PG/Ph. D. students as per 5th Dean Committee. This syllabus is made common for all the State Agricultural Universities (SAUs), Central Agricultural Universities, Deemed to be Agricultural Universities of ICAR in India. In this book the information is divided in ten sections namely; Extension Concept & Scope, Extension Schemes, Communication, Adoption & Diffusion, Information Technology, Rural Sociology & Educational Psychology, Programme Planning, Management & Training, Entrepreneurship development, Gender Sensitization & Empowerment etc. It is expected that present book will meet the requirement of students concerned with the discipline of extension. This book will also serve as handy tool for the grass root level as well as higher level of extension professionals.

The data obtained from the study of, "Formulation and Evaluation of hydrogel containing antimicrobial drug (Azithromycin) and silver nanoparticles" reveals that Silver nanoparticles were reported to have good antimicrobial activity in lower concentration and can combine with other antimicrobial agent to get synergistic effect. The Silver nanoparticles were prepared by green synthesis approach with the help of reduction ofsilver nitrate by Azadirachta indica leaves extract. Azithromycin was chosen as antimicrobial drug, however it shows adverse effect when administered in high dose, hence to reduce dose of azithromycin it was decided to make formulation containing silver nanoparticles and azithromycin. The drug loading and drug delivery techniques were searched for topical as well as bone grafting purpose.

The present study deals with the thermal buckling analysis of different geometries of plates i.e. skewed, trapezoidal and triangular. In the case of triangular plates two different geometries of triangular plates are employed i.e. right-angle triangular plate and isosceles triangular plate. The effective material of plates are functionally graded which continuously vary in thicknessdirection i.e. in z-axis. The thermal buckling study considered two type of temperature loading i.e. uniform temperature rise and linear temperature rise. The present work is done using finite element analysis software package i.e. COMSOL Multiphysics (version 5.3). The parametric study is carried out for three geometric factors i.e. plate angle, aspect ratio and thickness ratio. The trends obtained from the parametric study can be helpful in design of structures under thermal load.
