The Meaning of Masonry by W. L. Wilmshurst is a book that explores the true nature and purpose of Freemasonry. The author, a prominent Masonic scholar, delves into the symbolism, rituals, and teachings of the craft to reveal the deeper spiritual and philosophical insights that lie at its core. Through his insightful analysis, Wilmshurst shows how Masonry is a path of spiritual development that seeks to uplift and transform the individual, leading them towards a greater understanding of themselves and their place in the universe. He also explores the historical and cultural context of Masonry, tracing its origins and evolution over the centuries. The book is divided into two parts, with the first part providing an overview of the principles and practices of Masonry, and the second part delving into the symbolism and allegory of the craft. Throughout the book, Wilmshurst draws on his extensive knowledge of esoteric traditions and mystical teachings to shed light on the deeper meanings behind Masonic symbols and rituals. Overall, The Meaning of Masonry is a fascinating and insightful exploration of one of the world's most mysterious and misunderstood organizations. It is an essential read for anyone interested in the history, philosophy, and spirituality of Freemasonry. This Is A New Release Of The Original 1922 Edition. Dog overraskes man.

The papers here collected are written solely for members of the Masonic Order, constituted under the United Grand Lodge of England. To all such they are offered in the best spirit of fraternity and goodwill and with the wish to render to the Order some small return for the profit the author has received from his association with it extending over thirty-two years. They have been written with a view to promoting the deeper understanding of the meaning of Masonry; to providing the explanation of it that one constantly hears called for and that becomes all the more necessary in view of the unprecedented increase of interest in, and membership of, the Order at the present day.
