"Some of us force ourselves to do things we don't want to do and to live a life we cannot in fact live, and think that in making this effort we are being Christians. That is very far removed from what God offers us in Christ. The Christian life is lived when we] receive the life of Christ within us] as a gift; to live by that life." Excerpt from The Joyful Heart

This Collection of Sermons Includes: * Sermons With a Powerful Gospel Message* Annotated Content about the Life and Message of Watchman Nee* New Front Matter Content Never Before Published * Specially Selected Sermons with a China Connection and RelevanceThe writings of Watchman Nee have been a great comfort and blessing to Christians all over the globe. Watchman Nee was born in China and became a Christian at the age of 17 through the preaching of Dora Yu. He became a zealous believer and Christian leader and during his ministry he never stopped teaching the Bible and led many to Christ as well as edifying the Body of Christ. Most of Watchman Nee's books are based on sermons, Bible studies, and teaching sessions. Many have been taken from sermon notes, or the translation of such notes or literature that he published in China during the 1920s, 30s and 1940s. It was extensive, with over 63 books available in English translation of his teachings. Watchman Nee refused to soften or water down his Gospel message and teaching. He was finally imprisoned for his faith by Communist authorities in China in 1952. Four years later, he was brought to trial in Shanghai in 1956 where he was accused of various charges, including sabotage and spying (which he denied). He was sentenced to prison for 15 years, where he remained until his death in 1972. This Book: 'Ten Sermons that Shook China' is a select group of Nee's sermons that have special relevance and a powerful Gospel message. The sermons were taken from a sampling of Nee's sermons that have special significance for China and the body of Christ at large. Almost all of the messages are from sermons or teachings that Nee delivered in China during times of revival or outpourings of the Spirit, conferences, and/or teaching seminars. They also represent sermons about the Gospel message as it pertains to true freedom, atheism, land ownership and wealth, and salvation only through Christ. The front matter, editorial notes, and prefaces consisting of 'Introduction' and 'Some Thoughts About Watchman Nee' have never before been published in any manner and should be considered annotated content. Compiled in China, and republished for print in the USA, this work is presented by the New Gospel Book Room, publishers of Christian materials meant to inspire believers everywhere.
The Normal Christian Life is Watchman Nee's great Christian classic unfolding the path of faith and presenting the eternal purposes of God in simple terms. This is a compilation of spoken addresses on such topics as the blood of Christ, Christ's cross, the Holy Spirit, the meaning and value of Romans 7, and the goal of the gospel. Nee's message will cut straight to your heart in a way that is both moving and relevant. It will speak as from the Spirit of God himself, with challenging power.-- Angus I. Kinnear, London 1961 About the Author: Watchman Nee became a Christian in mainland China in 1920 at the age of seventeen and began writing in the same year. Throughout the nearly thirty years of his ministry, Watchman Nee was clearly manifested as a unique gift from the Lord to His Body for His move in this age. In 1952 he was imprisoned for his faith; he remained in prison until his death in 1972. His words remain an abundant source of spiritual revelation and supply to Christians throughout the world.

Spiritual discernment is the pressing need of today. How can we obtain this full knowledge of God? Where do we get spiritual discernment that we may know the things which are more excellent? (see Phil 1.9-10) These are the matters which brother Watchman Nee tried to address during his latter years of ministry. This present volume, entitled Spiritual Discernment is composed of three parts: Abound in Knowledge, Abound in Discernment, and Approve the Excellent.

We are all called to serve, but is God really served? Where lies the secret of true service? Paul declared, God is my witness Whom I serve in my spirit (Rom. 1.9). Clearly the secret of service is to serve in spirit. Does this sound simple? It, nonetheless, requires much dealing from God. In this present volume, brother Watchman Nee shared with us what he had learned through the years of his serving God. He delivered these messages towards the latter years of his freedom. These are fundamental and essential to true service. May all who truly desire to serve God to His satisfaction learn this open but neglected secret.
Truth is always simple in nature. This entire secret of Christian living is given in two simple phrases, which are: in Christ and Christ in us.
Have you ever exercised your spirit? As children of God, have you discovered the secret of spiritual growth? The Bible exhorts us: Exercise thyself unto godliness: for bodily exercise is profitable for a little; but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life which now is, and of that which is to come (1 Tim 4.7b-8). Here is a book that will help you to exercise your spirit on the basic lessons of practical Christian living. By faithfully and prayerfully going through these subjects, you will discover the secret to spiritual maturity. To get the best benefit, it is suggested that you take only one lesson a week. Read it, meditate on it, and pray over it till the Holy Spirit brings you into the truth. Thus, you will exercise your spirit over these fifty-two lessons in one year.
This book makes a valuable contribution to an understanding of God's way with His own people, through a study of the lives of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
