From the author: Two of the happiest days of my entire life were when our precious bundles of joy, Meri Beth (November 3, 1971) and Molly Melinda (April 25, 1975), were born in Raleigh, North Carolina. I marveled as I watched them grow I was overwhelmed with gratitude to God for His wonderful gifts and for giving me the blessed privilege of being their father. When they were little girls, in love and thanksgiving to God and, of course, for my wife, Joy, who gave them birth, I was inspired to write the poem, I Kiss You with a Prayer This book is based on that poem as a prayer for them from my heart. They certainly have taught us through their lives about our Heavenly Father's love I truly thank God for all of His blessings and for allowing Joy and me to share a joyful and happy life with our two wonderful daughters, their husbands, and their children-our precious grandchildren-true gifts from God whom we also are blessed to kiss with a prayer

Poetry - A friend gave a heart shaped notepad to Teresa as part of a bridal shower gift. After her marriage to Wayne BrownTeresa made a habit of leaving lovenotes for her husband to find. After a while, Wayne began to penlove notes back to Teresa. This short book of poetry contains notonly some of the poems they wroteto each other, but also poems Teresawrote about others she loves.

Wayne Brown's On the Coast was first published in 1972. It was a Poetry Book Society Recommendation in the UK and established Brown as one of the finest young poets of the post-Walcott generation. It was followed in 1988 by Voyages, a collection that amply showed the maturing of Brown's remarkable gifts but was rarely available. Now, long after some of the 'revolutionary' poets are forgotten, it is possible to see that Brown's work has been seminal in Caribbean poetry, both for its intrinsic qualities, and for Brown's crucial role as the mentor of a current generation of Caribbean poets. This edition restores the original text of the 1972 edition and adds the new poems first published in the later collection.
