PuTTY supports many variations on the secure remote terminal, and provides user control over the SSH encryption key and protocol version, alternate ciphers such as 3DES, Arcfour, Blowfish, DES, and Public-key authentication. It also can emulate control sequences from xterm, VT102 or ECMA-48 terminal emulation, and allows local, remote, or dynamic port forwarding with SSH (including X11 forwarding). The network communication layer supports IPv6, and the SSH protocol supports the zlib@openssh delayed compression scheme. It can also be used with local serial port connections.
Priming Treatments for Improvement of Seed Quality in Cluster Bean

Priming Treatments for Improvement of Seed Quality in Cluster Bean

Cluster bean (guar) is an important arid legume crop of the country. Nowadays, it is gaining importance as an industrial crop due to the presence of galactomannan content in the seed. The crop generally faces moisture stress conditions at the sowing time, seedling emergence and plant growth. If primed seed sown in the field, then it can tolerate the problem of moisture stress to some extent particularly during the initial stages of germination and plant growth and it helps in optimum plant stand establishment. Improved seed germination and vigour potential contribute to better crop establishment and seed yield. The results of present study revealed that among various priming treatments, the treatments T1(H-D), T6 (KNO3, 0.5%) and T8(Pseudomonas culture) enhanced the standard germination (6.66-12.66%) in good quality seed-lots (L1) of variety HG-365, whereas, the treatments T3 (GA3, 50ppm), T5 ( PEG-6000) and T7 (Rhizobium culture) improved the germination percentage ( 6.67-11.00%) in good quality seed-lot of variety HG-563. Moreover, none of the treatments enhanced the germination effectively over control in marginal seed-lots of both the varieties.

April 2022: India has walked out of Kashmir and made Kashmir FREE. Kashmir finally has what its stone pelting mobs have apparently been demanding for such a long time. FREEDOM. Now what? What does Hasina Ittoo, its Chief Minister "promoted overnight" as Prime Minister, do? Beg India for a Bhutan like status with the Indian Army defending it; or request Pakistan for a similar status as that of its so-called region of "Azad Kashmir"? What does India do: treat Kashmir like Bhutan or Nepal with free trade and visa-free movement of people or treat it like Pakistan with massive restrictions on everything imaginable? And how do the Kashmiris carry on with their daily lives? Where from do they get their food supplies, electricity, petroleum products, medicines, car parts, building material, and every such item of daily use? Which airline and mobile companies now service them? Which currency do they use now: Indian, Pakistani, or both? Who pays now for the bloated bureaucracy of Kashmir? Pakistan? Does Shehla Kaloo, the firebrand Kashmiri feminist, succeed in turning Kashmir in to a neutral but prosperous Switzerland? Or, does she yield to popular sentiments in favour of a Sharia-governed Islamist society? KASHMIR THINKS IT'S FREE is that fictional, what-if peep in to a not-too-distant future when Kashmir attains freedom from India. Spread over 47 chapters, this astoundingly realistic and edge-of-the-seat politico-bureaucratic thriller will grip you by the throat and shake you to the core when you finish its almost 70,000-words of pure adrenaline rush. As an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 1979 batch of the Jammu and Kashmir cadre, who has served the nooks and crannies of J&K for over 37 years, lead author Arun Kumar believes he's more than qualified to do justice to this thrilling plot. Co-author Prasenjeet Kumar brings his formidable experience of writing 30 books (of which 60 titles are now translated in to six international languages) to tighten up the story and to bring out its human and social dimensions. The field experiment was conducted at Genetics and Plant Breeding Research Farm, Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology, Faizabad, in Augmented Block Design having 10 blocks and each block was divided into 14 plots. Out of these 14 plots in a block, 10 plots were used for accommodating the test genotypes while remaining 4 plots were used for check varieties, during Rabi 2010-11 to assess 100 chickpea germplasm showed wide range of variation for various characters. Data were recorded on different 11 quantitative traits on subjected for estimation of mean, range and least significant differences, correlation, path-coefficient and genetic divergence. The genotypes NDG 93-1, NDG 31, JG 9-3, ICC 4934, BG 3014, ICC 3137, ICCV 05314, RG 2003-28, L 550, IPCK 2004-16, NDG 3-32-2, BDG 1059 and H 02-14 produced higher seed yield per plant, may be used in breeding programme for development of high yielding chickpea varieties.

Apart from significantly improving the stability of the financial system, banking sector reforms in India since 1991 have supported the transition of the Indian economy to a higher growth path. In comparison to the pre-reforms period, the Indian banking system today is more stable and efficient. However, these gains need to be consolidated into a mature financial system to meet the challenges of financial globalization. Many new processes, products and services offered by banks and other financial intermediaries are now IT-centred. Banks have traditionally been at the forefront of harnessing technology to improve their products, services and efficiency. They have, over a long period of time, been using electronic and telecommunication networks for delivering a wide range of value added products and services. In spite of the technological advances made by the banking system, it is afflicted by a slew of formidable problems, the chief being the accumulation of non-performing assets (NPAs). India's financial system and economic stability are facing a serious threat due to continuous one-way movement of the NPAs. The enactment of Securitisation, Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest (SARFAESI) Act, 2002 was an important landmark in the ongoing reforms in the financial sector. The Act enables the setting up of asset management companies, addressing the problem of NPAs of banks and financial institutions and enhancing rights of the creditors. This book provides a vivid account of the banking sector reforms in India since 1991. More importantly, it analyzes the various aspects of the problem of NPAs of banks with the help of data/information available in public domain.

On 8 November 2016, the prime minister announced the immediate cancellation of all Rs 500 and Rs 1000 denomination notes, wiping out 86 per cent of the currency in circulation. India's well-functioning economy went into a tailspin. This move, it was claimed, was made to wipeout corruption, deter the generation of black money, weed out fake Indian currency notes and curb terrorism. Overnight, people in India realized that the cash intheir pockets had no value. A window of fifty days was granted to 1.3 billion people toconvert theirold notes into new ones. Businesses, especially in the unorganized sectors, came to a grinding halt. Patients in hospitals faced huge problems, farmers had difficulty buying inputs, weddings were scaled down, and fishermen watched their catch rot. Many lost their jobs and could not support their families. A year later, the RBI announced that 99 per cent of the old currency notes had been deposited with it. India continues to grapple with the effects of this move. The black economy has not been dented; counterfeiting and terrorism continue; the credibility of the RBI, banks and currency is damaged, accountability of the parliament and the prime minister has been eroded; and the social divide has widened. There have been many arguments and counter-arguments from both sides, but they have missed the complete picture. Demonetization and the Black Economy, for the first time, lucidly explains the story of demonetization along with its effects onthe economy.
