Laser use in dentistry has centered on the possibility to encourage patient uptake through the avoidance of pre and post-operative pain and discomfort. The wide array of uses of lasers in the specialty of Oral Medicine and Radiology has been previously described but still is in its primitive and limited stage and needs extensive elaboration. Lasers have been primarily recommended in the literature for the treatment of benign oral lesions such as fibromas, hemangiomas, and papillomas in the treatment of gingival hyperplasias, aphthous ulcers, mucosal frenula and tongue ties (ankyloglossia). It has also been postulated as an adjunct for the treatment of potentially malignant conditions such as Oral leukoplakias, erythroplakia, lichen planus, and other immunological disorders producing oral manifestations. Some reports have also been documented in the literature on the use of Lasers in the possible treatment of malignancies in early stages with excisional biopsies without risk of metastasis or local spread. Today Lasers can be used as a Cutting edge' or a Therapeutic agent'.

Cells exist in dynamic environment that requires virtually continuous control mechanisms with expenditure of energy to maintain homeostasis. Cell death may be physiological or histopathological. Apoptosis is an active, energy dependent process that occurs as part of normal tissue or organ functioning. Apoptosis is pathway for rapid and efficient killing of unnecessary or damaged cells which is required for sculpting tissues in normal development and is a part of the host defence mechanism against disease. Between 50 billion and 70 billion cells die each day due to apoptosis in the average human adult

The tongue is referred to as 'the mirror of systemic diseases' as often the earliest signs of these diseases can be seen on it. This is similar to the 'face' being known as 'the mirror of mind' as it reflects the expressions of the mind. More recently, tongue prints displaying patterns of lingual papillae are used in medico- legal purposes for personal identification. The purpose to do this review is to reveal the mysteries of tongue and hidden facts associated with it. And to have a sound knowledge of 'the diseases of tongue and their cure' which would further develop our subject.

Computer-aided implant surgery has been introduced in recent years, with the aim of simplifying and improving the diagnostic phase and providing predictable implantology results, as this field is a highly operator-dependent surgical technique. It can also reduce the need for bone regeneration, allowing the use of all available bone tissues and respecting prosthetic-guided implantology principles, achieving a final result that satisfies both aesthetics and biomechanics. Computer aided implantology is useful and beneficial to the patients as they experience less surgical trauma, pain, and swelling while their recovery time is reduced and the ability to return to their normal lives is expedited.
