ENGLISH DESCRIPTION MAKE YOUR BRAIN WORK FOR YOU, NOT AGAINST YOU, AND FIND HAPPINESS ONCE AND FOR ALL. THE PHENOMENON THAT HAS HELPED MORE THAN 5 MILLION READERS FEEL BETTER THROUGH NEUROSCIENCE AND A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR. Our brains do their best to help us, but sometimes they can behave like real jerks. They insist on trapping us, starting a sterile discussion, turning us into addicts or closing us in on ourselves. And, as much as we ask them to stop, they seem to have a will of their own. Well, that's what this book is for. With humor, patience and a few swear words, Dr. Faith G. Harper shares her knowledge about the science that explains what happens inside our brain and helps us retrain it to respond to everyday life without setting everything on fire in its path. If you're working to deal with stress, anxiety, depression, and old traumas, or if you simply want to be able to respond in a more measured and relaxed way to certain situations, this book can help you put the pieces together and get your life and your head back.
