Special collectors edition by Historium Press with a foreword by Regency author, Arabella Brown. First published in 1814, "Mansfield Park" is Jane Austen's third published novel, the story of Fanny Price, an impoverished young girl who at the age of ten is sent away by her overburdened family to be raised by her wealthy aunt and uncle, Sir Thomas and Lady Bertram, at their estate, the titular Mansfield Park. This classic coming of age story follows the young lives of Fanny and her four cousins, Tom, Edmund, Maria, and Julia. When Sir Thomas incurs a large debt he is forced to rent out the Mansfield Park parsonage which has been recently freed up by the death of the family's Uncle Norris. Clergyman Dr. Grant and his wife take up residence in the parsonage and the aristocratic Crawford family from London joins them soon after. The arrival of the wealthy and fashionable Crawford family enlivens life at Mansfield Park and begins to spark romantic entanglements amongst its residents. While largely ignored by critics during her lifetime, "Mansfield Park" has since been recognized as one of Austen's most mature works. The greatest financial success of Austen's literary career, "Mansfield Park" is a brilliant and satirical depiction of the lives of the upper class in England during the early 19th century. With a foreword by Regency author, Arabella Brown, the author of "The Wastrel's Daughters".

THE WATSONS by Jane AustenPraised by critics and studied by scholars, Jane Austen's novels endure because of their popularity with readers. The author's witty and astute observations elevate her tales of parties, gossip, and romance into matters of captivating drama, offering an evocative portrait of everyday life in the towns and countryside of Regency England. Austen's premature death at the age of forty-two curtailed her legacy, and her devotees have eagerly read and re-read her handful of books. This collection features two of her unfinished novels, an often overlooked pair of gems that enrich our appreciation of Austen's storytelling gifts. These writings first appeared posthumously, when Austen's nephew included the texts in an 1871 memoir of his celebrated relative. The Watsons unfolds in a familiar domestic milieu, in which a spirited heroine finds her marriage opportunities narrowed by poverty and pride. One of the most popular novels in English literature with over 20 million copies sold. Pride and Prejudice has delighted readers for years, consistently appearing near the top of lists of "most-loved books" among literary scholars and the reading public. Jane Austen (16 December 1775 - 18 July 1817) was an English novelist known primarily for her six major novels, which interpret, critique and comment upon the British landed gentry at the end of the 18th century. Her novels have inspired many films from 1940's Pride and Prejudice to more recent productions like Sense and Sensibility (1995), Emma (1996), Mansfield Park (1999), Pride &amp Prejudice (2005), and Love &amp Friendship (2016).

Sanditon (1817) an unfinished novel by Jane AustenSynopsis: A gentleman and a lady travelling from Tunbridge towards that part of the Sussex coast which lies between Hastings and Eastbourne, being induced by business to quit the high road and attempt a very rough lane, were overturned in toiling up its long ascent, half rock, half sand. The accident happened just beyond the only gentleman's house near the lane-a house which their driver, on being first required to take that direction, had conceived to be necessarily their object and had with most unwilling looks been constrained to pass by. He had grumbled and shaken his shoulders and pitied and cut his horses so sharply that he might have been open to the suspicion of overturning them on purpose (especially as the carriage was not his master's own) if the road had not indisputably become worse than before, as soon as the premises of the said house were left behind-expressing with a most portentous countenance that, beyond it, no wheels but cart wheels could safely proceed. The severity of the fall was broken by their slow pace and the narrowness of the lane and the gentleman having scrambled out and helped out his companion, they neither of them at first felt more than shaken and bruised. Sanditon (1817) is an unfinished novel by the English writer Jane Austen. In January 1817, Austen began work on a new novel she called The Brothers, later titled Sanditon, and completed eleven chapters before stopping work in mid-March 1817, probably because of her illness.

Pride and Prejudice Deluxe Art EditionPride and Prejudice is an 1813 romantic novel of manners written by Jane Austen. The novel follows the character development of Elizabeth Bennet, the dynamic protagonist of the book who learns about the repercussions of hasty judgments and comes to appreciate the difference between superficial goodness and actual goodness. Its humor lies in its honest depiction of manners, education, marriage, and money during the Regency era in England. Mr. Bennet of Longbourn estate has five daughters, but his property is entailed and can only be passed to a male heir. His wife also lacks an inheritance, so his family will be destitute upon his death. Thus, it is imperative that at least one of the girls marry well to support the others, which is a motivation that drives the plot. The novel revolves around the importance of marrying for love rather than money or social prestige, despite the communal pressure to make a wealthy match. Pride and Prejudice has consistently appeared near the top of lists of "most-loved books" among literary scholars and the reading public. It has become one of the most popular novels in English literature, with over 20 million copies sold, and has inspired many derivatives in modern literature. We hope you enjoy our deluxe illustrated edition and pass it on to the next generation.

Are you looking for one of the best classic works in history? Are you looking for an enjoyable, exciting and emotionally charged story? Are you thinking about the next book to give as a gift? Mansfield Park by Jane Austen is the book you're looking for This is the Austen's original version with the addition of an annotated literary critique at the end to better explain the meaning of this book. About of the BookMansfield Park is the third published novel by Jane Austen, first published in 1814 by Thomas Egerton. A second edition was published in 1816 by John Murray, still within Austen's lifetime. The novel did not receive any public reviews until 1821. The novel tells the story of Fanny Price, starting when her overburdened family sends her at age ten to live in the household of her wealthy aunt and uncle and following her development into early adulthood. From early on critical interpretation has been diverse, differing particularly over the character of the heroine, Austen's views about theatrical performance and the centrality or otherwise of ordination and religion, and on the question of slavery. Some of these problems have been highlighted in the several later adaptations of the story for stage and screen. Book Considerations.- "I was astounded to find that many of the reviews on this site criticize this book for the main character, Fanny Price, & her timidity and morality. It is very different from Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility, whose smart, sensible heroines make the novels, but I actually enjoyed this book immensely for its social commentary." - Minerve- "Fanny is one of my favorite Jane Austen protagonists. She's often criticized for not being outspoken and fiesty like the other Austen leads, but Fanny has a quiet strength that I love. In the face of her manipulative and abusive family, she stays calm and strong and refuses to budge on what's in her heart. She fights for her own heart despite tremendous pressure and I love her so much for that." - Merphy- "This edition of Mansfield Park comes with a great introduction and notes, containing interesting information about the publication of this novel and historical context. I have been a huge Jane Austen fan ever since I first saw P&P and shortly thereafter read the novel, leading to me falling in love with the dignified wit and sass this author has had. It can't have been easy in her time, which makes me appreciate her dry humour and social criticism even more." - TrishOne of the most-loved books in English Literature made by Jane AustenIt's time to embark on an enlightening journey inside the incredible story of " Mansfield Park " by Jane Austen. Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen is the book you're looking for. This is the Austen's original version with the addition of an annotated literary critique at the end to better explain the meaning of this book. Northanger Abbey is a coming-of-age novel and a Pastiche of Gothic novels written by Jane Austen. It was completed in 1803, the first of Austen's novels completed in full, but was published posthumously in 1817 with Persuasion. The story concerns Catherine Morland, the young protagonist, and her journey to a better understanding of herself and of the world around her. Background of the BookNorthanger Abbey, novel by Jane Austen, published posthumously in 1817. Northanger Abbey, which was published with Persuasion in four volumes, was written about 1798 or 1799, probably under the title Susan. In 1803 the manuscript of Susan was sold to the publisher Richard Crosby, who advertised for it, but, unaccountably, it was not published at that time. Book Considerations- "I don't even know what to say. This book was such a flippin' blast".- "Hilarious, charming, fast paced, Jane Austen's writing. I loved this book so much".- "Catherine Morland is the very antithesis of the expected heroine. And yet, in this fun, Gothic parody, Austen makes her just that ". Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen is the book you're looking for This is the Austen's original version with the addition of an annotated literary critique at the end to better explain the meaning of this book. About of the BookSense and Sensibility is a novel by Jane Austen, published in 1811. It was published anonymously by a lady appears on the title page where the author's name might have been. It tells the story of the Dashwood sisters, Elinor (age 19) and Marianne (age 161/2) as they come of age. They have an older half-brother, John, and a younger sister, Margaret (age 13). The novel follows the three Dashwood sisters as they must move with their widowed mother from the estate on which they grew up, Norland Park. Because Norland is passed down to John, the product of Mr. Dashwood's first marriage, and his young son, the four Dashwood women need to look for a new home. Book Considerations.- "This is the third Jane Austen book I've read and it's by far my favorite. I love the story, love the heroines, love the MEN I just love everything about this. There was so much happening that it never felt slow or boring and the SUSPENSE and REVELATIONS at the end of the book were so fantastically done. AGH JUST SO GOOD. TIME TO GO WATCH THE MOVIE." - Maureen- "After this second read, I'm compelled to amend my first review, for my perspective of the book is quite altered. This debut publication of Jane Austen is, in my view, a complete book in itself, an excellent introduction of Jane Austen to the world of classical literature." - Samantha- "I DID IT. WOOOOOOOOOO ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC Not going to lie, the middle was rough.. quite tedious and slow, BUT, the character development in this book was just fabulous; Austen truly understands the human condition.
