At CCC, it is tradition that a talent show be held after dinner Wednesday nights. As my cabin mates, best friends, counselor, and the rest of the high school campers and counselors make their way to the worship center, I think of the main reason of why I am excited about tonight. While at lunch today, Reese asked me how I would feel about singing "Finest Hour" from "Teen Witch" with him. Of course I had said yes Not only was this one of Reese's and my favorite songs from our childhood, but I would happily sing with Reese any day.

As all of us made our way from the worship service to the cafeteria to eat a yummy Sunday lunch, I heard someone calling my name. Turning around, I blushed and smiled. It was Reese." Hi, Mer " Reese smiled." Hi, Reese " I smiled back. "What's up?""Nothing much, I just wanted to ask you something, that's all.""You can always ask me anything.""Cool." Reese smiled. "I was wondering if you wanted to go on a walk with me during free time this afternoon.""Just you and me?""Yes.""I would like that very much." I smiled, my heart thudding inside of my chest. "I really would."

"Okay, girl, let me ask you this." Elizabeth said. "Is there something going on between you and Danny?""I've been wondering the same thing." Taylor added." I don't know what is going on at his end, but I have feelings for Danny on mine." Nayleen replied." How long have you felt this way about him?" Kate wanted to know." For a good while now." Nayleen replied. "I hadn't realized that I had had longtime feelings for Danny until we were singing together."

Dear Journal, Last Tuesday, Rob, the worship leader, asked me how I would feel about joining the worship team on Sunday mornings as the main singer. Immediately, I had said yes After all, it was such an amazing opportunity When I told my amazing counselor and my three other awesome cabin mates, all of whom happen to be longtime good friends of mine, they smiled, hugged me, congratulated me, and told me that this was an awesome opportunity Moving on, today is my first day of being the main singer on the worship team, and I am very excited After all, I know that I am going to have fun and do great -Nelli

Last month, Darren, Aunt Casey, and Uncle Bart had called my parents and me about something exciting During the call, they had invited me to stay in L. A. with them from yesterday until tomorrow, and attend Darren's movie premiere with them. Due to the fact that this week is spring break, as well as the fact that all of us thought that it would be an awesome and exciting opportunity for me, my parents and I happily agreed. As I continued to enjoy my breakfast, I could not help but smile and feel excited After all, today was going to be a big and awesome day

I have awaited this day and summer for awhile now. For the first time ever, my best friend and secret love interest, Cade, and I will be going on tour together. We will be traveling in different tour buses with our awesome and amazing parents, but still. Before I can get too excited about the tour, there is something else that I am excited about. Tonight, the night before all of us leave on tour, my family and I have been invited to stay at the Nolan's mansion in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Not only will this give us time to catch up before things get crazy. Truth be told, I am so excited about this that I can hardly wait After all, it has been awhile since I have seen Cade.

Standing outside of the sun room/ piano room, I watch and listen as Shenae plays the piano and sings "Shallow" from "A Star Is Born." She doesn't know that I am there, but that's okay. I want to watch and listen for a little while longer before I enter the room. As Shenae gets to the final chorus, she turns around and meets my gaze. As we exchange smiles, she continues to sing and motions for me to come in.

Today is my eighteenth birthday, and I am celebrating it by going to Disney's Hollywood Studios, as well as a birthday dinner, cake, and opening presents tonight. As both families made their way to the theme park in the Ulysses' large van, I could not help but think of what today would bring. Before I had a chance to think about it, however, we were arriving at Hollywood Studios.

As the limo escorted Mom, Dad, Sarah, and me to Reliant Stadium, I thought about what tonight would intel. Tonight was my summer kick-off concert, one of my biggest concerts of the year. Even though I loved all of the concerts that I did, this one was one of my very favorites. On a different note, this concert would be the only concert that I would be doing this summer. Even though I love performing, I am very excited about having a summer break. After all, I need it.

Today is the first gymnastics meet of the year, and my best friends and I are pumped We have been training hard, and perfecting our routines. We also have an awesome coach helping us get to where we want to be. As my best friends, coach, and I get registered for the meet, I cannot help but smile. No matter what the outcome, today is going to be awesome

For as long as I can remember, my best friends and our families have gathered at Danny's on Labor Day for a barbecue. Not only does the barbecue offer amazing food, snacks, and soft drinks, as well as some awesome desserts, it also gives all of the families a chance to hang out with one another. Even though my best friends and I hang out quite often, our parents don't quite as much. With this said, this barbecue also gives the parents a chance to hang out and mingle. Thankfully, they are good friends with one another, or it would be quite awkward.

For prom this year, I had asked my parents if I could ask Darren to go with me. After they agreed to let him go with me, and stay for the weekend, I had called Darren and asked him if he could fly down to Texas and be my date for Prom, and stay for the weekend. Instantly, Darren and his parents had agreed Fast forward to tonight, I find Darren and myself being escorted by a limo to Hotel Icon to attend the prom. I am so happy beyond words that I can barely stand it

Ever since the summer before fifth grade, the girls and their best friends, Tyler and Danny, had attended Camp Bobcat for one week in July. Not only did the six best friends have fond memories of their time at Camp Bobcat, but it was one of their favorite vacation spots of the summer. As the girls made their beds, and awaited to see who their counselor was going to be, they could not help but feel excited. After all, a fun and excited week was awaiting for them

From 7:30-11:30 from Monday-today, my dance team and I had had dance team boot camp. During boot camp, we learned new dances (I even got to teach my dance team a dance that I had choreo-graphed). Even though it had been a week of hard work, it had also been a week of fun Before I knew what was happening, my teammates were singing the birthday song, and presenting me with a bouquet of beautiful flowers, and a large gift bag
