Der Autor beschreibt eingehend die Rechtsposition, die der Glaubiger bei einer Hoechstbetragsburgschaft innehat. Er stellt die Funktion, die dem Hoechstbetrag innerhalb des Burgschaftsverhaltnisses zukommt, ebenso dar wie dessen Auswirkungen auf Umfang und Tragweite der Haftung des einzelnen und der mehreren Burgen als Gesamtschuldner ( 769 BGB).
