The "Antisemitism in Comparative Perspective" seminar series of the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP) continues to generate a steady flow of high-quality presentations and papers on a wide range of topics relating to antisemitism. Between 2015 and 2017, ISGAP hosted seminars at numerous academic institutions, including Harvard University, McGill University, Stanford University, Columbia University Law School, the University of Miami, Sapienza University (Rome), Sorbonne University (Paris), the National University of Kyiv, and the American College of Greece (Athens). The present volume - a worthy follow-up to The ISGAP Papers: Antisemitism in Comparative Perspective, Volume Two (2016) - contains a selection of papers presented during this period. Like the seminars on which they are based, these papers cover topics that have profound implications for our understanding of contemporary antisemitism, its impact on Jews and non-Jews, and our efforts to combat this irrational yet enduring prejudice. It is the hope of all those connected with ISGAP that the papers in this volume will stimulate and inspire readers, help them understand the changing realities of contemporary antisemitism, and encourage them to develop policies and strategies to combat and defeat this and other destructive hatreds. With the publication of this latest volume, as well as all its other academic efforts, ISGAP continues to fight antisemitism on the battlefield of ideas. Description: Take a look at the wide variety of perspectives and opinions, memories and traditions on the meaning of the Christmas holiday and associated traditions. Although few may pause to discuss such a profound question amidst a busy season of holiday parties and concerts and gift-shopping and tree decorating, here is some food for thought. These descriptive accounts and reflective discussions are drawn by the pens of American authors or published in the pages of American and English magazines. The cultural traditions of Christmas in America and those borrowed from Europe, in wartime or in times of peace, in religious and secular life, show the deep roots of Christmas within the social fiber of American life.
A must-have desktop reference for school administrators The Administrator's Handbook, now in its third edition, is a practical and informative text that offers answers to those questions that often only experience can answer. The easy-to-browse Q&A format includes chapters on: Student Discipline; Student Activities; Health and Safety; Parent-School Connection; Curriculum and Instruction; Athletics; Supervision and Evaluation; Special Education; and Transportation. This handbook is unique because it contains questions that have been designed by practicing administrators who are actively involved in the daily work of school leadership. As a result, the questions in this handbook have come from a cross section of administrators, including principals, assistant principals, CSE chairpeople, and athletic directors. Our writers who developed the answers to the questions have extensive experience as school administrators and/or working with school districts through BOCES. School leaders are encouraged to review local policies, and when legal interpretations are involved, they are urged to work with the superintendent, school attorney, and professional association to obtain appropriate legal counsel. This is especially important relative to the principal and teacher evaluation (APPR) laws and regulations, which continue to evolve.
Various, or Various Production, is an English dubstep/electronic music duo formed in 2002. The group blends samples, acoustic and electronic instrumentation, and singing from a revolving cast of vocalists. Its members, Adam and Ian, purposefully give very little information about the group or themselves, and tend to do little in the way of self-promotion. Nevertheless, the group began winning critical acclaim with its single releases in 2005 and 2006, with singers Rachel Thomas Davies and Nicola Kearey. Their full-length for XL, The World is Gone, arrived in July 2006. They have released a large number of vinyl EPs and 7" records, as well as digital exclusives for Rough Trade, iTunes, and Boomkat. They have released remixes of a large variety of artists (sometimes uncredited) such as Thom Yorke, Adele, Virus Syndicate, Dave Cloud, Cat Power, Emma Pollock and Ian Brown and participated with one track on the Vexille Movie Soundtrack.

274 pages with 234 illustrations, size 5.75 x 8.25 inches. Packed with hard-to-find detailed information to assist in the overhaul, repair, adjustment and maintenance of pre World War II motorcycle engines. The predominance of the data included in this publication was compiled from 1924 through 1931 service documentation. However, much of that same information is applicable to earlier and later motorcycles that utilize the same engines. Includes information on A. J. S., Ariel, B. S. A., Calthorpe, Douglas, J. A. P., Levis, Matchless, New Hudson, New Imperial, Norton, Panther, Raleigh, Royal Enfield, Rudge, Scott, Sunbeam, Triumph and Velocette engines. IMPORTANT NOTE: As this information was extracted from the various manufacturers service documentation the amount of detail varies considerably. For example, the data on Calthorpe and New Imperial engines are only 4 pages each in length and would be considered to be adjustment and maintenance information only. Conversely, the data on the Scott engine is 15 pages in length and the overhaul process is explained in detail. This publication also includes a complete listing of titles in the 'Motorcyclist's Library' series. Many of those books expand on the repair and maintenance procedures for other mechanical and electrical components and will be of assistance to owners and restorers of classic, vintage and veteran motorcycles.
