Notes From Daddy is a critical analysis of public-school systems in America, portrayed in novel, form to better express the many obstacles faced by an immature black child named, Henri. After his father passes away in an auto accident, Henri and his mother must deal with a jarring and hostile society. The novel was engendered during a time when the educational gap suffered in public education was being heavily discussed. Dr. William H. Johnson sheds new light on the topic by introducing prolonged aggravated grief of some orphaned children, predominately boys brought on by constant inconsequential questioning together with personal devaluation and discrimination by school staff. Dr. Johnson aims to educate institutions and parents about the damage discrimination and prejudice has on young and impressionable minds, by curating a story that will touch hearts and inspire many, while letting so many know that we understand. PEANUTS On Parade was the biggest tribute to PEANUTS creator, Charles Schulz, as it spanned over nine years in two states with over eight hundred statues of PEANUTS characters. The money raised paid for permanent bronze statues in both St. Paul and Santa Rosa, and began an art scholarship program in Schulz name which is still active today. Volume Two continues the Charles Schulz tribute after relocating to Santa Rosa.
