Superhydrophobicity of Surfaces Dressed by Electrospun Fibers

Superhydrophobicity of Surfaces Dressed by Electrospun Fibers

This book provides insights into the wetting behavior on fiber-dressed surfaces and guidelines for developing superhydrophobicity based on electrospinning. In developing superhydrophobicity, electrospinning possesses the following advantages over other fabrication techniques. First, the electrospun micro- and nanofibers, which may also featured with secondary fiber morphology, provide sufficient surface roughness for superhydrophobicity. Second, electrospinning is considered an additive manufacturing technique, so the surfaces to be modified are not destroyed for superhydrophobicity. Third, the introduced electrospun structure is featured with high porosity with inter-fiber pores, allowing for a high vapor transmission rate, which is necessary in many applications such as wound dressing, gas sensor. However, books focused on developing superhydrophobicity using electrospinning are rarely found. Electrospinning is only introduced as one section in most superhydrophobicity-related books, and the mechanism of superhydrophobicity by different electrospinning-based methods lacks detailed explanation.

This book presents recent advances in three-dimensional (3D) imaging and display frameworks, encompassing three categories of 3D imaging and display technologies. The first category is nonphotorealistic 3D approaches based on conventional optical cameras to implement 3D stereoscopic observation of a scene. In the context of nonphotorealistic 3D imaging and reconstruction systems, the authors introduce general principles and also demonstrate camera calibration for 3D imaging, smart cameras, and full-link imaging methods using the optical modulation transfer function to improve imaging quality in conventional cameras. The second category is based on light-ray light field technology to achieve photorealistic 3D imaging and displays. In the context of light-ray light field systems, two approaches capable of light-ray light field 3D imaging by utilizing a camera array or a lens array are demonstrated. Accordingly, light-ray light field display approaches comprising head-mounted displays and integral displays are also introduced. The third category is also photorealistic 3D imaging and display technology, which is based on holography (i.e., diffraction or wavefront light field). In the corresponding holographic displays, the authors introduce 3D holographic displays from three elements: algorithms, devices, and systems, involving fast hologram generation algorithms, wide-viewing-angle display systems, and metasurface holography, etc. Including an investigative roadmap for future progress in optical imaging and 3D display systems, this book is essential reading for scientists and engineers in academia and industry who are interested in next-generation imaging and display concepts for 3D visual sensing systems.

From the perspective of sensorless control for PMSM, this book analyzes and integrates the two control methods of high-speed and zero-low-speed ranges, to achieve full-speed control. A composite control based on weighted switching method is established, which effectively combines the good dynamic tracking performance of the model reference adaptive control method in the high-speed range and the high-precision control of the pulse injection method in the zero-low-speed range. The intermediate speed range where the two methods transition is controlled by the weighted method. Multiple control strategies are integrated and weighted according to the characteristics of PMSM operation at different speed ranges, ultimately overcoming the limitation of a single sensorless control method not being suitable for the full speed range. The PI structure of the speed adaptive law in the traditional model reference adaptive system will lead to the problems of reduced speed identification accuracy and poor robustness, the super-twisting sliding mode algorithm in the high-order sliding mode algorithm is proposed to improve the PI structure of the speed adaptive law in the traditional model.

With the development of the ship industry, the power quality of the ship power system is getting worse and worse. More scholars turn to the detection and improvement of the power system. However, most of the current research focuses on the study of the whole power system, few people pay attention to the source of the power quality problem. The nonlinear load is one of the most important factors to affect the quality of the ship's power. This paper does some study on the power quality of the frequency conversion system, introduces the harm caused by the electric power quality of the frequency conversion system of the ship, and analyzes the importance of the power quality detection.in order to improve the speed stability of the generator, the sliding mode control method is studied, and the convergence law used in the sliding mode controller is improved to address the problem of high convergence speed and low system jitter in the traditional sliding mode control. The convergence law used in the sliding mode controller is improved. Based on the above study, a rectifier vector control strategy for permanent magnet synchronous generator based on the sliding mode control is proposed.

Advancing the Right to Health Care in China
Health is indispensable for living a life of dignity. Currently, there is an almost universal commitment to the right to health (care). However, despite the growing legal recognition of this right, empirical evidence suggests that, as a whole, the implementation of the right to health (care) remains largely rhetorical at the domestic level. For example, although China ratified the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights in 2001, relatively little attention has been paid to the domestic implementation of the right to health (care). Violations of this right were also identified in reality. Given that China's health care reform is entering the so-called 'deep-water' zone, it is essential for the Chinese government to investigate how to guarantee everyone equal access to health care. Advancing the Right to Health Care in China analyses the role of accountability, a Western concept that has recently been introduced to China, in advancing the right to health care in light of China's unique political, legal and social background. In doing so, this book synthesises two different concepts: (1) the right to health; and (2) accountability, and integrates them into an analytical framework for 'right to health-based accountability'. It further provides a greater understanding of accountability and the various forms of accountability mechanisms that should be established by States. More specifically, it establishes a constructive accountability model that can be applied to specific health concerns in China, as well as in other countries, particularly those with non-electoral regimes. This book first systematically evaluates the status quo of the legislative and policy measures China has taken to give effect to the right to health care within its jurisdiction. It then identifies the shortcomings in Chinas domestic implementation of this right and seeks to address the remaining challenges through the lens of accountability. This book concludes with a set of recommendations for Chinese law- and policy-makers for implementing China's obligations under the right to health care through its draft Basic Health Law.
