O efeito do clima condiciona o ambiente em que o gado vive e se reproduz, tornando complexa a produ o e a qualidade do leite. Esta situa o modifica factores importantes como a disponibilidade/qualidade da gua e dos alimentos. Em resposta aos efeitos adversos, o gado modifica os seus mecanismos fisiol gicos e comportamentais para manter a sua temperatura corporal num intervalo normal. Este estudo descreve a rela o entre as vari veis precipita o, temperatura, ndice de temperatura e umidade (TIH) com a produ o de leite em 2011 e 2014 nos tr picos (TS) e tr picos midos (TH) e percentual de gordura em 2015 e 2016 no TS. Os registos hist ricos de produ o (Pd) e qualidade correspondem a 18 CREL (centros de recolha e refrigera o de leite), distribu dos em diferentes zonas de vida do munic pio de Olanchito, departamento de Yoro, nas Honduras. No per odo analisado, observou-se uma distribui o irregular da pluviosidade, um aumento das temperaturas e uma elevada pluviosidade (Pt), o que provoca uma vulnerabilidade sazonal da produ o.

Les enregistrements historiques de la production (Pd) et de la qualit correspondent 18 CREL (centres de collecte et de refroidissement du lait), r partis dans diff rentes zones de vie de la municipalit d'Olanchito, d partement de Yoro au Honduras. The effect of climate conditions the environment in which cattle live and reproduce, making milk production and quality complex. This situation modifies important factors such as the availability/quality of water and feed. In response to the adverse effects, cattle modify their physiological and behavioral mechanisms in order to maintain their body temperature in a normal range. This study describes the relationship between the variables precipitation, temperature, temperature and humidity index (TIH) with milk production of the years 2011 and 2014 in the tropics (TS) and humid tropics (TH) and fat percentage of the years 2015 and 2016 in the TS. The historical records of production (Pd) and quality correspond to 18 CREL (milk collection and cooling centers), distributed in different life zones of the municipality of Olanchito, department of Yoro in Honduras. During the period analyzed, an irregular distribution of rainfall, an increase in temperatures and high rainfall (Pt) were observed, causing a seasonal vulnerability of production.
