Just as terrestrial networks have shifted to routed, message centric networks, the satellite networkingregime is beginning to transition in the same manner. Based on established networking theories and unique orbital models, a satellite based communications network architecture is modeled that would fulfill the requirements of capacity, coverage and logistics for current and future military needs. Specifically, various satellite constellations and network characteristics are examined with a focus on how to enhancecurrent methods of routing data in this environment. The authors explore how Social Networking theories can be applied to the routing decision making process in the space environment. Utilizing aspects of adaptation and the weak-tie relationship, an adaptive hybrid routing protocol model is proposed leveraging the predictability of orbital mechanics to increase performance and decrease network overhead.

On November 28, 2006, the Al-Fajr Information Center released the first issue of the Technical Mujahid Magazine. The purpose of the online magazine is to help prevent aggressive acts against Muslims in cyberspace and to assist the mujahid in their efforts. A mujahid is a Muslim fighting in a war or involved in any other struggle. The magazine proclaims that the Internet provides a goldenopportunity for the mujahid to break the Western media control over information. The magazine also recognizes that the internet could represent a vulnerability to the mujahid and suggests security measures for the mujahid tofollow. The magazine is correct when they say this is a golden opportunity for the mujahid. The internet provides Islamic extremists an excellent medium to spread their ideas to billions of people, and over the years, the extremists have steadily made a greater presence on the information superhighway. As an example, Gabriel Weimann states that from 1998 to the present, "the number of terrorists' websites has grown from less than 30 to more than 4,300." Islamic extremists have used these websites for recruitment, fundraising, coordination, training, propaganda, and a whole host of different activities.

This study analyzes the factors that have contributed to the contemporary reshaping of the German armed forces. It describes the burdens of history prior to 1945. treaty and constitutional restraints on armed forces, the establishment of the armed forces in the 1950's and 1960's, and the culture of reticence in military affairs that cannot easily or even willingly be modified. Further sections 6 address national unification, the contemporary determinants of German security policy. the complications of absorbing the veterans of the East German military, and manpower and budgetary considerations. Lastly, from a national delense force posture alignedwithin NATO forward defense, the German armed forces are making a transition into highly mobile. ripid reaction units that can be deployed at short notice to world trouble spots. These rapid reaction units may eventually conduct peacekeeping, humanitarian aid. and crisis reaction missions under the auspices of the UN, NATO, or WEU. Internal and external anxieties about German military participation in such missions have produced a confused defense policy. Germany is nonetheless restructuring its military to demonstrate the achievement of sovereignty and to improve its ability to defend national and allied interests in a new international context.

Visual perception modeling is generally weak for game AI and computer generated forces (CGF), oragents, in computer games and military simulations. Several tricks and shortcuts are used in perceptual modeling. The results are, under certain conditions, umealistic behaviors that negatively effect user immersion in games andcall into question the validity of calculations in fine resolution military simulations. By determining what thecomputer-generated agent sees using methods similar to that used to generate the human players' screen view in 3-D virtual environments, we hope to present a method that can more accurately model human visual perception, specifically the major problem of a entity "hiding in plain sight".
